I have been working at TNO full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

TNO offers great conditions for expats with high education (MSc and PhD) background (Dutch: kennismigrant). It combines a great deal of consultancy work and research that provides a great work-life balance.

    Cons

The company has a very 'Dutch' mentality in which salaries are sub-par compared to other companies, raises are hard to get and the growth possibilities can be limited.

I have been working at TNO full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Flexible place and great work/life balance (may be the best in NL in this sense).
    Challenging projects and nice people.

    Cons

Salary and benefits are falling short compared to other companies.
Except payment, there are no shortcomings.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to keep your juniors from moving to other companies: cut the overhead (sharply) and give back to the people which make you money (expertise).

    Pros

You have the chance to work on new and exciting innovations and technology. The company culture is very open to new ideas.

    Cons

Long time to move up from a Junior or Medior with little reward. Not enough room for idea creation and too much bureaucracy.
