I have been working at TRANZACT

    Pros

friendly atmosphere, good people. Good health benefits. They had plenty of agents come from another call center where they were not treated especially well.

    Cons

The GRIND of outbound-insurance sales cannot be for everyone! Some like it, some came from other environments and found a home here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None that I can think of. Upper mgmt rarely shows up here.

    Pros

Average pay and benefits were okay.

    Cons

Freeze on raise and bonus for years. No recognition for hard work. Lots of finger pointing - blaming. No life and all work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop micromanaging workers and hire more competent employees and managers.

I have been working at TRANZACT full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

It's a job and the benefits are a plus. Everyone here is from a different background and knows nothing about the insurance industry. I doubt the company will be around in 20 years

    Cons

Get rid of the staff and hr recruiter they know nothing about the insurance industry. They will
Have 4 interviews with you and you will
    Never hear back from them

I worked at TRANZACT full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Competitive Base Salary. Relatively low investment in license (and in some cases they pay for training for you). Hours are capped at 40 (for non-management). Laid back atmosphere. Very cool people to work with. If you are focused on selling and do not let customers control the call, you can make a high 40s or maybe even 50k. Expectations of more than that are irrealistic.

    Cons

Management can at times be disconnected with employee needs. They are a young company and are still figuring out bonus structure, lead sources, financial incentives.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on your team. If they are happy, you will be happy. Do not tolerate terrible sales numbers simply because people are pleasant and nice. If you have top earners, take care of them. No ass kissing needed, but there seems to be an issue with keeping top talent.

I worked at TRANZACT full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Had some good co-workers,a lot of us had great careers before the depression and were forced into this greed driven, your just another number environment to feed our families. The health insurance is good if you need it for your family, and it's a fairly clean environment. Liked being associated with MetLife and their staff as they were always friendly and professional when visiting the operation. They were the client we were selling Life Insurance for as captive agents.through TZ Insurance Solutions.

    Cons

Only a chosen few on the sales staff are given the opportunity to make a decent living wage. They are fed leads from all sources, had three to four times the monthly sales as the rest of the staff and won all contests and prizes offered by the company during promotions. It was degrading, depressing and killed the morale on the sales floor. The computer platforms and sales application process changed constantly until it took so long to take an application over the phone it became unbearable, really.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn from your mistakes,I saw many talented, intelligent agents leave because of the pay structure, micromanagement , and above mentioned show stoppers. Good luck, and please remember, your not the only game in town.

    Pros

Flexible schedule, no drugs background check (not that I care, but some people would find it as a benefit). You learn how to sell...

    Cons

Bad leads, management has poor work ethic. Training process was the worst experience ever in my life. Top management's experience is selling magazines, not sure if this is ok for the Insurance Business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve training process, invest more in coaching and change the entire management team.

    I worked at TRANZACT

    Pros

Work environment is fair but very noisy since you are crammed in next to each other with everyone on the phone. Benefits offered are good for the price.

    Cons

Poor quality leads. Licensing in enough states is required to get sufficient leads to make the quota they expect. They seem to withhold the best states to those they like and control the flow of leads to those individuals as well. They control the leads you get and therefore the opportunity to even make a sale. Many people think it is a grea place to work until they have been there a few months and see what is going on. Favorites get the most licensing and the new quality leads. They do well while everyone else gets the left over crap.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide a level playing field and stop the favoritism.
