    Pros

    Decent pay. A few good upper managers exist. Being customer service is tough and not for many! The pleasure of actually helping real people really is awesome.

    Cons

    Everything else. Upper management is awful and only does their job when clients are in. Majority of the supervisors are entirely too condescending and feel they have all the power in world. Job can be extremely degrading. Agents are not treated with dignity and respect. Unreasonable restrictions.

    Try doing your job when clients aren't around.

    Pros

    Decent place to learn and grow; Very structured about time off though. Satellite Office where I worked was new, so there was a LOT of pressure to make quotas and standards...but the people there were very knowledgable; and Team oriented.

    Cons

    The company set extremely high goals to meet in a very short time. I know they're bidding for contracts from larger companies...however, we found that some goals were not doable in the short amount of time given to do them, for a new site. Mid-level management seemed to be a bit harsh. Dis-interested in what worked for our site....liked to use scare tactics.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Spend some time talking to those who actually work the floor. Maybe do an Undercover Boss, many of the mid levels are not creating an environment conducive to meeting all your goals.

    Paid training, shift differential, incentives, coworkers!

    Cons

    Mismanagement, payroll issues, unable to get help with questions due to management not being trained properly on the new contract.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Please make sure you guys thoroughly know how to troubleshoot internet accounts before expecting the employees underneath you to do so. Putting someone on hold to ask management a question and being told "I don't know, you went through the training, I'm just a manager" was very disappointing.

    Interview process was easy, however over 100+ sales calls a day and high pressure on sales commission. Great job for a college student

    Cons

    This job is only good for college students who are trying to make some money for the summer. Plus it will also look good on a resume.

    Have to make your quota by lunch time or you will be sent home.

    Training was adequate to do the job.

    Cons

    After not giving me the raised promised for taking swing shift they wanted, they instead gave me the job of handling improper log in/outs for time sheets for 150 people, changed it to 350 people on me without additional help and wanted me to lie and say it was my fault the new people didn't get their pay on time when the Mgmt found out the Philippians contractor they chose to use had a national holiday and they didn't get the checks done in time. I won't take that kind of wrap for anyone. They insisted I go and apologize for their mistake but take credit for it myself. I told them to go you know what.

    Get your act together. Listen to what people tell you and act on that instead of running around lose and reckless with people's pay.

    Can't think of any, except it's close to home.

    Cons

    Unfair management. All the management cares about is getting their bonuses and that's based on your work. Also, when it comes to shifts managers play favorites. I was told one time I hung up on a customer because when they listened to the call there was no hold music??? I mean the hold music would be down often. I think this is due to the manager was concerned about getting his extra bonus, from my good work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Quit being so selfish and help out some of the advisers that need some coaching. Also, don't assume everyone is trying to avoid calls. Because, there are some honest hard-working people out there.
