Not a bad place to work, some pros and cons.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Current Employee) Edmonton, AB (Canada)

ProsThere is some interesting work, with much independence. There are some nice people to work with.

ConsThe funding is often limited, and there isn't much direction or communication from management.

Worked short-term on an interesting project but will not work there full-time

Software Development Consultant (Former Employee) Calgary, AB (Canada)

    ProsNew and exciting projects
The opportunity to learn and grow if you are undergraduate intern
Flexible in terms of hours and location of work

ConsLocation (previous location in NE Calgary)
    Disoriented and overloaded management
    Understaffed projects

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Worst non-profit I ever worked for!

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

    Pros- Space to sit
    - work PC
    - Lighting
    - Washroom
    - Fridge
    - TV
    - some old lab tools

Cons- Management is extremely incapable and incompetent
    - Senior staff running the company are the ones who failed to get decent jobs elsewhere, so here they act like emperors and can show immense disrespect towards junior staff

    - As a tech. incubation company, one would expect creativity is encouraged. Not here!
    - Jobs don't match job descriptions!!

    - Much of the work not relevant to industry
    - Survives on government grants, and the government will not fund this organization forever for lack of industry relevance

Advice to Senior ManagementNo hope if things go at the current rate.

    - Mgt. needs major change and company needs to refocus its goals; else
    - Shut down the company and save taxpayer's money

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Personal experience, not a very good one

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGreat team members and great facilities

ConsPoor financial rewards, management does not appear to care much about the process, just the end results.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease take a better interest in the everyday life of your employees, even if you do not mean it, as it will help to improve morale.
