layoffs every year since i've been here
Pros
Mgmt has great vision and innovation ideals. Nice offices and nice people.
Cons
Lacking in talent at mid and executive levels of company. Tend to make short term decisions rather than fix root causes of issues.
Advice to Senior Management
Recruit leaders who are good at implementing solutions.
Pros
Challenging work, diverse business sectors, good coworkers.
Cons
Laid off hundreds of US employees with industry specific knowlege in favor of offshore emps who did not understand the industry or have the expertise to provide quality service. Lost many accounts further exacerbating the bottom line. Cliquish at the mid to upper management.
Advice to Senior Management
Consider and care for the customer and the customer will care for you.
Pros
Good benefits, management really appreciates you when you do a good job, very thorough training, they try to respect you the best way they can
Cons
Lots and lots of people work there, you may feel like a number considering the company is large, opportunities limited unless you have outside training
Advice to Senior Management
Have more training opportunities for employees, and make sure that internal employees are aware of what is out there - you may have the talent you need within your company!
Pros
There are some great people with a lot of industry and technology knowledge and the technology sold to clients is stable and top of it's class.
Cons
The company feels so disorganized on so many levels and teams work in silos throughout the organization and have no idea how their work impacts the company overall. The company just went through massive layoffs and a lot of key contributors were let go and it will take a long time to regain that knowledge and to give their customers the support and responsiveness they deserve.
Advice to Senior Management
Be more upfront and honest with employees to give them a complete view of the company. There is a perception of secret keeping among the leadership team.
Decide if you are a service company or a technology company.
