I have been working at TS Restaurants full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Awesome training program that stresses 'connecting with guests' and 'building long lasting relationships with guests as family' They really treat everyone with respect -the Aloha Spirit is felt from all levels of management!

    Cons

They only have 13 locations, so the options to go into management are few (even though they promote from within, which is great). That coupled with the fact that NO ONE ever leaves, can make it challenging to move up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

keep doing what you are doing -your employees love working for you!

Great short term job. Incapable and short-sighted management.

    Pros

Met a lot of friends. Good money and great food. Loved the location.

    Cons

Management was often immature and also uneducated. Most managers did not have a college degree and often made fun of employees who did. Sexual harassment and bullying is a huge issue that was often swept under the carpet. Also, management tended to fraternize with it's employees, often hurting or getting employees fired. Management had no real vision other than employing it's current model. It's a good ole' boys club that has no real interest in cultivating professionalism and ingenuity in their employees. Mangers were often hypocritical and unethical.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Grow up! Get an education and be professional.

I have been working at TS Restaurants

    Pros

Location, steady stream of customers. Fellow employees are great to work with and a lot of teamwork. You get a discount to eat here at 50 percent off. We are the number 1 restaurant in sales .

    Cons

No benefits like 401k, paid sick time. etc You also have to purchase your own uniforms, shoes, and management automatically takes .25 cents off of your base pay so you actually only make 7.00 an hour instead of 7.25 . I have noticed that management seems to focus only on the bad issues of the employees and do not praise them enough. Moral around the workplace is going south.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees. Encourage them. Praise them when they do their job right. Do not just "punish" them and never praise them.

    I worked at TS Restaurants

    Pros

Nice location, good food and reputation, and good work hours. Fun company events. Employees remain employed for long periods of time and can be treated like family.

    Cons

Employees are very chatty and casual at work, managers tend to overlook hard working employees and become buddy-buddy with employees that "cruise". Some employees are not respectful to one another. Some employees bring drama and personal issues to work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have regular reviews of employees. Give employees chances to advance to higher positions. Make sure employees are not "cruising".
