I have been working at TSS Photography full-time

    Pros

Could be a great opportunity to build a self-owned business. Possibility of setting your own hours and carrying as much of a work load as you want, but a lot of pressure to be completely full time.

    Cons

Extremely poor customer service, poor leadership, and a total lack of accountability to their franchisees. Work yourself to death with next to nothing to show for it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No advice - fire 'em all! Don't try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig. Stubbornness, a refusal to admit mistakes, and ignoring clients' needs is a sure way to lose. Shame to drag what was once a good company into disgrace.

I worked at TSS Photography full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

True colors shine bright after 31 years of cluelessness and karma prevails every time. The employees that make it all happen are treated like 2nd class citizens.

    Cons

Sad that they don't have a clue after 3 decades. They just chose not to advance their technology. TSS is left in the dust.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Run for the hills.

I worked at TSS Photography full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

the friends made while working there have turned out to be some of the hardest working, most valuable, and loyal people in my life still to this day

    Cons

there was no control with the quality, in anyway. The senior management HAS NO CLUE truly what they are doing. They cut your hours on short notice and never paid for the PTO that you earned. Instead of hiring more people the work was spread out to the already over worked and under paid. NEVER got the raise they said you would when/if you happen to be "promoted". Was told that you had to prove you could do the job first.... THEN WHY DID YOU OFFER IT TO ME??!! and since when to you hire someone with no pay and decide whether or not to pay them; NEVER! Give us the money and if doesn't work out then change the deal! Just all around disappointed...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

don't let someone who knows CRAP about photography run a photography company, you don't know quality if it slapped you in the face.

I have been working at TSS Photography (more than an year)

    Pros

    The people there are wonderful.

    Cons

They have no concept of the word "Quality". They cut corners, they lack the ability to run a company and provide a good product. They have a "fly by the seat of our pants" philosophy to running their company. They place unrealistic expectations on their employees and undervalue them (everyone is expendable, constant layoffs and cut hours). They lack communication, constantly in between HR people. I have learned how to NOT run a business while working here. I would not recommend this job to my worst enemy. STAY AWAY!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have your current CEO leave the company. This company may stand a chance and rise again if you find a more competent person to run it.

    Pros

    Everyone is friendly and understanding.

    Cons

Management needs to take their IT department more seriously on IT hardware upgardes and fixing bugs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please keep support issues from bubbling to IT urgent problems so soon.

I worked at TSS Photography (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good pay & benefits only if you are full time. You will learn a lot about what not do when running a business by working there.

    You have a job...

    Cons

You will want to work anywhere else ...

High employee turn over for a small office. Instead hiring another qualified person the work is dumped on another poor over worked stressed out employee.

They can't seem to keep an HR person. So your on your own if you have a problem.

Watching people waste there life savings on an unprofitable business with this company.

Software- it's always broken, no joke.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

President needs to step down. This company has so much potential but can not perform because of poor management and leadership.
