convenient location
Cons
too much overtime and yet not getting paid
not necessary get paid fairly
do not see much career growth opportunity
Advice to Senior Management
Get real focus on trading-related data analysis and/or data mining, research business
Trading revenue is declining fast
diversifying is the key
Pros
An exchange's internal business is hidden from the public eye. Joining an exchange is a unique opportunity to learn from inside something that is not taught in any school or book. This particular exchange has a very dynamic environment.
Cons
Although there are some departments that have a team spirit, in general the environment is very hostile. Abundance of open and hidden conflicts within and between various teams, lack of basic practical work ethics and mutual respect.
Advice to Senior Management
Make an alliance with a larger market player who can effectively takeover and change the culture. It is very unlikely that this culture, that takes its roots in 1970s can change from within to survive in the current market conditions.
