I have been working at TTI Texas full-time

    Pros

Longevity of it's employees. Solid foundation. Serves the market well.

    Cons

Limited advancement. No pay increases. Long hours.

    Advice to Management

Cancel the Dream Team and spread the money to all employees for a year well done. "Team" does not honor a select few and the upper management.

I worked at TTI Texas full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

My team was great, office environment at the branch was very personal, so you have to get along with everyone or else it's kind of weird. My customers were great also. I wasn't doing any cold calling which was great. The company really tries to put you in a position for success. I like the commission structure, it's clean cut and they communicate with you very well when and how much you will be paid every pay period.

    Cons

-Training was a little boring in the beginning, they mostly have you learning about all the different components that you will be selling, but you don't really need to know an immense amount about the parts in order to sell them -TTI matches a percent of the money that you put into your 401k, but you can't keep it until you stay there for over 5 years

  8. Great company, wrong position for me

    Pros

My group is very supportive and will answer any questions I may have. The office is laid back and goal driven at the same time.

    Cons

I guess I could say the general things here about vacation and what not. Being in the US we can't expect much for vacation time since we are one of the worst developed nations in that regard. You start with 10 days of vacation and a floating holiday. Most holidays fall in the second half of the year so you don't get much of a break unless you take you vacation in the first 6 months of the year. On a more personal side, this position is just not a good fit for me. The company doesn't allow you transfer to another salaried position until you have been in your current position for 18 months. I'd like to stay with the company, but it would have to be in another position.

  9. Great company, stable and team-oriented office

    Pros

Loved working here. They really strive for a fun work environment with after work happy hours and team building events. Stable employment, upper management is helpful and educated.

    Cons

The pay is slightly lower then industry standard but it's off-set by the perks - lunches provided by the company, baseball games, bowling, etc.

I worked at TTI Texas full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get to work for a company owned by Warren Buffet. Salary was pretty decent starting off. Training program is like a junior level college course. Benefits and vacation time are insanely good. Managers were your best friends.

    Cons

In business development department, the sales quotas were pretty stressful and hard to meet. Stuck to the desk all day.

    Advice to Management

Find the strengths and weaknesses of the new hires and manage them accordingly.

    Pros

Mouser Electronics,,, leading edge subsidiary (rest of company is clueless)

    Cons

Double standards abound Senior management is uneffective and unable to take company to next level Over inflated opinion of themselves

    Advice to Management

Place higher value on employees delivering results
