I have been working at TTI Texas full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Location, Reputation, Stable company, the cowrokers are friendly

    Cons

Low Compensation, Very Weak Management ,inability to recognize and develop employees strengths, skills & abilities. No Leadership, Service years, And Strongly built friendshiips with supervisors & managers equals = PROMOTION for those who otherwise lack the skill set and experience to achieve such positions within any company Huge lack of planning on management's part when it comes to most business decisions, tti seems to place morbefore e emphasis on employee's amount of years worked instead of placing it where it belongs on the employee's talent's, skills , abilities, not on if they were adventurous enough to get out in the elements of an ice storm risking their life & countless others to come into work that day. Enablers of favortism and neputism within the work place, managers lack leadership skills, way too much micromanagement on people that don't need it and not any management of those people & departments who do need it they run wild , working when they want too and visiting and gossiping the remainder of the work day leaving their co workers to work overtime to carry the workload, alot of deparrment heads dump their responsibilities & duties off onto other areas and departments within the company that arent trained or qualified to be performing the work dumped on them. All Warehouse workers and superrvisor/ coordinators share a nasty attitude towrds customer service caring more about the comfort and ease of the warehouse than the satisfaction of the customer, meaning no one will go that extra step or mile to provide exceptional or outstanding service for the customer more times than not time is spent providing reasons for WHY the employees cant do something instead of finding ways to make it happen energy is very negative at both warehouse locations.Lack of confidentiality, even with the HR department and supervisors etc. if you have an issue or problem you might as well face it head on yourself or make it publicly known as this is what will happen after it'sdiscussed with a supervisor or hr personnel. The maturity level at this place of business is practically non-exsistent, jr. high level mentality is widely used thru out this company. Most all of the people there are firendly , caring and nice and ALL Just wasting their time with tti, they will never be paid what they are worth while employed here, the only ones that are paid decent are all of the longtime employees or very agressive bossy employess that dump their work off on others and they shouldnt even be allowed on the payroll as they drag the rest of the team down because they don;t carry their workload and management is too weak to address the issues and problems with this. Management lacks leadership skills and experience so much that their lack of action has lead to a hostile work environment for many departments due to allowing them being taken over and lead by the more aggressive, assertive and overbearing employees in the department, that aren't coordinators, supervisors or management. Clickish behavior and ideas , with little or no emphasis on Team work or Team focus. Perfection is not built by time alone, it's built on energy, abilty and Team efforts that in time lead to patience ,skills, experience and knowledge equalling perfection...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

RE EVALUATE Management's emphasis on Customer Service and the focus or goals tti professes to live by. Educate all tti managers, supervisors, & coordinators thru seminars, classes and training to make sure they are the right candidate for the job and not just being chosen for any other reason. otherwise your doing all empoloyees a huge disservice placing these unqualified individuals in postions they are not qualified or skilled to be in. IT's Time to put your foot down and stand up for the rights and privacy of others and stop condoning and participating in the employee grapevine or gossip circles. You have had many very talented professionals come thru the door only to leave with their talents and skills never having been noticed or used by tti, leaving these people to become a great asset to other well known companies which are competitors of tii.
This is a Red Flag warning that tti doesn;t recognize employees by their job related experience, knowledge or skills and their pay level is reflective of this.

    Pros

TTI, Inc. is a 2.2 billion dollar global company, with locations throughout the US, Europe, and Asia. There are some really great people that work at TTI. Very good work/life balance.

    Cons

Upper management is out of touch and do not trust their employees, benefits are practically non-existent, growth potential is very limited. Unless you are a sales person there is no bonus structure.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you wish to compete for the most talented people, you need to pay better, provide better benefits, and a bonus would be the icing on the cake.

    I worked at TTI Texas

    Pros

    Facility is nice, safe, comfortable.
Technology is current and close to leading edge.
OS software is current, but applications software is behind and "in house" is problematic.
Pay is decent, but a little below market.
Work life balance is generally good, but can be a challenge at times.

    Cons

    No formal performance review policy.
Bonus is tenure based and so low, it's an insult.
No regular raise schedule (see performance review)
Upper management lacks understanding of current technology.
ITIL methodology is shunned in favor of a reactive, "everything's on fire" mentality.
Cuts costs everywhere possible, starting with employee benefits.
Benefits? Not even close to being competitive.
    High turnover rate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your pool of knowledgeable, talented employees. They want you to succeed, but you are holding them back and running them off.

    Pros

TTI is a great place to work for the time being and maybe even for long term. The people are nice and friendly.

    Cons

The pay is low and micromanaging is a big problem. People aren't recognized enough for the great job that they do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Trust your employees and have faith in them! They'll get the job done. Treating your employees like kids will just make them ignore you more. Respect goes both ways.

I have been working at TTI Texas

    Pros

The people throughout the company are nice, the offer medical insurance and denatl and vision, 401k plan

    Cons

It's too clickish, the raises that are given are very minute, they don't base a performance raise on your performance it's based on length of service and who you know not what you know, the maturity level of the senior management and staff is very low on a high school or junior high level

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start paying attention to the people and know exactly what their job details are before you decide to offer them a tiny rasise base it on on knowledge, skills and expertise, and just because your job isn't a physical one DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOUR NOT BUSY WORKING TO HELP BENEFIT THE COMPANY MORE than you would know! You try dealing with salespeople ALL DAY LONG

    Pros

Flexible schedule, and good health benefits.

    Cons

Pay level is below industry average. Management shows no respect to it's employees. Employees are treated like "circus animals" not human beings. High turnover rate in Business Development Group, due to management. The company's focus is on finding ways to cut costs, not rewarding employees that produce at a high level.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Catch up with the competition.
