I worked at TZ Insurance full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are friendly employees and nice and clean building to work from. They give a decent hourly pay plus bonuses on sales.

    Cons

There is a very short training period and you are trained by cold calling. When you are hired you are told there is no cold calling. There seems to be more supervisors than employees.

    Advice to Management

There are too many supervisors. Each them contradicting each other. Have employees under one or two supervisors for a month before having to report to third, forth or fifth.

I have been working at TZ Insurance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent base pay of $17 an hour (if you are not a temp to hire employee). Free earned lunches occasionally. Lots of decent food trucks in front. Easy to work with if you need to schedule or take off over allotted PTO. Great training. Great place if your just starting off in insurance and have a go-getter mentality. Free fitness classes in the gym. Free gym. Liked most of management.

    Cons

Only 5 days of PTO a year including sick pay. High-stress job w. out adequate PTO is inhumane. They do NOT add extra PTO days based on seniority. Commission structures change during open enrollment to line the pockets of the business. Health benefits are mediocre - Dental and vision are pretty good. Consistently change your schedule - example: My work day started at 1 p.m, then 9 a.m, then 8 a.m, then 1:30 p.m then 9 a.m over the course of a year. Short 30 minute lunch breaks. Sitting long hours - hundreds of calls a day.

    Advice to Management

Have a little more consistency in protocols. 5 days of PTO a year is pathetic.

    Pros

Good pay if you can sell, great co-workers (for the most part), and more flexibility than I've experienced at any other job. I can't speak for the other locations but Fort Myers has been a great stepping stone and stable income for me. This isn't what I would like to do for a career but definitely can be one for someone who wants it.

    Cons

Most of the cons are only cons if you aren't a "sales" personality type. If you feel confident in yourself socially they WILL teach you how to sell. However if you are someone who fears confrontation or suffers from anxiety (on the phone) then this job could be hell for you.

    Advice to Management

I love all of my managers and leaders. The work environment has shifted a bit but I think that's a natural part of life, everything changes.

I worked at TZ Insurance full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If your down on your luck and need a job it gives you a chance to make decent money.

    Cons

Management is terrible and plays favorites, if your not one of them you get the worst schedule and leads. Not everyone gets the same leads. You'll learn right away. The agents that they hold up to you as making great money are fed leads to make those numbers. Very negative work environment. Your bonus is controlled by them and the leads you get. They will pull you off a program mid month, even if you are doing well. Call center mentality, not if you're looking for an agency setting. I heard a manager tell someone once that they were just a hamster on a wheel and there are more hamsters where they came from.

    Advice to Management

    They don't listen.

I worked at TZ Insurance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits and decent base salary $17 an hour... They are a true call center that contacts directly with the carriers. This is a good thing because basically your job is to sale insurance and left the carrier do the customer service.

    Cons

All they care about is the bottom line, for you're not a person to them; you're just a number. So if you are not producing at the level they feel that you should be, you will be fired. Also there is management issues for they seem to be a revolving door as well. Lastly the drama was ridiculous!

    Advice to Management

Management needs more consistency and also embarrassed after training and getting to the root of anyone's issues.

I have been working at TZ Insurance full-time

    Pros

coworkers are nice and willing to help each other. if you absolutely need a job this would be a good job for you. otherwise run as fast as you can and look elsewhere.

    Cons

managers regulate incoming calls - who gets what calls and for sales you may not meet your quota and it is bye to you. managers are very inexperienced - they only care about numbers and not you. Do not expect raises - there are none.

    Advice to Management

mandatory courses for anyone that supervises or manages a team on how to get your team to work together and achieve greatness without bullying and belittling.

    Pros

Good base pay for call center sales. Health benefits are decent. Leads provided. Checks clear and on time. Good for first time sales agents.

    Cons

Commissions are terrible, they expect top level performance and pay less than average for the work. Anybody with good sales skills knows they can make more on the commission than base if they work hard enough, not here. Managers can be unprofessional and some lack in leadership capabilities. They fail to uphold a certain level of decency in some areas that are more common with better run companies. Honestly I don't see this business capable of offering long term opportunity for true sales professionals and won't unless they get bought out.

    Advice to Management

I wouldn't give a manager at this company a lick of advice. They know why.

    Pros

If you need to get licensed or newly licensed and need to get some experience, then this company is a option for you.

    Cons

Practically zero opportunity for advancement and no 401k match.

    Advice to Management

Need better management, lacking in professionalism. Pay and commission plan need improvement.
