I have been working at Tabcorp as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

Great co-workers, excellent work-life balance, flat management structure.

    Cons

Limited my regulatory constraints and gaming licenses. Cannot think really long term (5+) when it comes to technology investments. Board driven by short-term share market performance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think long term, ignore market in short term.

I worked at Tabcorp part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

It was a great job for while I studied, and paid quite well for part time work. They were very accommodating in terms of time off for study and exams.

    Cons

Following a restructure all team members became numbers. It was dehumanizing and became quite an unpleasant place to work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat staff as if they are intelligent people.

I have been working at Tabcorp

    Pros

Good Pay, Flexibilty of work hours.

    Cons

Gets way too busy these days. Large community, thus you are nothing but a number. No real connection between collegues, people do their own thing and try to get out of there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get your no's right. You're not offering the customers a great service, put more people on the floor. Plus you have no regard towards your employees. The tabcorp attitude is "If you don't like it just leave, we can employ plenty of people" your forgetting a fundamental concept of HR, that is to retain talented people. Manager's have no idea of what's happening on the call center floor, they make all this new rules which are hard to follow from an operator's end.
