One of the worst job environments

Shift Leader (Current Employee)
Pflugerville, TX

I have been working at Taco Cabana part-time for more than a year

ProsDiscounts on food, it's a non-serious work environment, can get tipped from customers on occasion, some nice employees that can become friends

ConsManagement, long hours without breaks, hectic scheduling, low pay for all positions, rude customers constantly, management and employees always late, many employees on drugs or intoxicated.

– I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Not bad, especially for Fast Food (#255, San Antonio)

Line Server (Current Employee)
San Antonio, TX

I have been working at Taco Cabana part-time for more than a year

ProsGreat people (coworkers), management actually cares, free food on breaks, free fountain drinks, employee incentives, cross-training frequent

ConsRude/Entitled customers (Stone Oak area), crappy pay (thought it's fast food; to be expected), can be stressful during peak periods (Breakfast, lunch, dinner rushes). If you don't speak Spanish, it can be difficult to communicate with employees at times.

Advice to Senior ManagementTo corporate: Quit fixing things that aren't broken. Modifying the bagging and cooking procedures every month and a half isn't going to make you more competitive as a company. It mostly irritates employees.
