I worked at Takasago International full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Diverse customer base - work on different projects with wide variety of companies
Friendly people - high level of cooperation
    Relaxed atmosphere - no pressure
Great place to work a job, but if you're looking to grow in your career, look elsewhere (read on)

    Cons

Management unable to provide clear priorities and expectations
Ineffective use of resources leading to misalignment with business demands
Under-utilization of talent in several departments, unproductive and inefficient systems accepted as standard practice
Low morale, high disengagement, lack of focus, absence of mission from leadership
Individualized culture with minimal opportunity to collaborate and thus to grow
Goal-setting poorly done and not top-down, lack of mission statement doesn't help
Once-a-year performance review lacks relevance and situational context, therefore not actionable
Lack of periodic feedback leads to lack of motivation to improve; this is on a department basis - doing things the same way because no reason to change (improve) is seen or voiced

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There are no wrong answers, but there are things you can be doing better, i.e. employee development and engagement. Are you getting the best of what your employees have to offer? I believe a good start is by asking, measuring and tracking the answers regularly.

    Pros

Large companies most often get better briefs.

    Cons

But even with great briefs, you still need good management to direct the submissions.
