    Pros

Manager at the Dallas Galleria Location was a blast to work with - very accommodating yet expected results out of every employee

    Cons

Corporate structure sucks, no other words necessary. No employee incentives for the terrible credit card requirement, it's like corporate could care less about the employees and more about the sales.

    Advice to Management

Continue to hire great managers like Lauren Tracey but definitely look into adding incentives for employees to stay. Lack of good benefits and payroll, employee discount is moderate.

    Pros

Lower management cares, middle management is questionable, CIO is a great guy...

    Cons

Great from 1999 through around 2007 until they bought JJill at a premium and then sold it for pennies on the dollar.

    Advice to Management

Stop laying off, forget the notion of converting to vendor packages and outsourcing and utilize the loyal talent that remains!

    Pros

I don't work there anymore. Some true friendships to last a lifetime. A great story and brand that has potential

    Cons

Fake phony upper management, lots of kool aid drinking to fit in and keep your status.... Forcing people to fit into cult mode to convince themselves and the competition that they are relevant

    Advice to Management

Scratch this indoctrination of staff. Go back to hiring Talbots like associates and upper management... Take a real look at turnover and find out why good people left and lazy fake people came on board

    Pros

    Staff
    Some of the clothing
    Location
    Clean store
    events

    Cons

Client Specialist Program. You are asked to do more ie. reach out to customers via notes, email, phone calls, special appointments, client book, yet there is NOT raise in pay. Instead, you can accumulate points that you can then redeem on a special website for items like trips, household items, music/dvds, etc. Nice thought, but those are things I do not NEED. I would rather get a raise for doing Full-time work on part-time hours. Also, a lot of pressure to sign up customers for the store credit card. That is the bottom line and it makes being there too stressful for a low-paying part-time job.
