    good place to work

Physician Sub I (Current Employee) Dallas, TX

Prosgood pay, good benefits, 401k with matching (immediate vesting), short and long tern disability, long term care insurance, life insurance, supplemental life/AD&D, spouse life and child life, 3 weeks vacation/year,

Consthe paperwork is a beat-down. it is a highly regulated industry.

Advice to Senior Managementtry to look at the FDA regulations from another angle or point of view. i think alot of of the standard operating procedures are too complex because of misinterpretation of the FDA rules.

    Decent place to work

Associate Research Scientist (Current Employee) Research Triangle Park, NC

    Pros-Flexible hours
    -No micro managing
    - Hands on opportunities
    - Good starting salary
    - Continuing education opportunities
    - Nice cash bonuses

ConsNot too many cons; Sometimes there is a long lull in work which can get very boring. Also, the "family feel" is not apparent; cliques are often seen.

Advice to Senior ManagementMake promotional opportunities much more obvious.

Shorter gaps betwen downtimes in work.

    Promote unity between coworkers.

Make sure everyone is notified about company wide changes.

Clinical R&D is run by incompetent, inefficient people that misrepresent themselves and lie without conscience.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Durham, NC

ProsGreat life saving products, advanced technology. Great people to work with. Salary and bonus at the time are great too.

ConsAbsolute lack of comfort level, always the need for looking over the shoulder and total lack of transparency.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement needs to check why there is a mass exodus of reputable clinical staff and check the need for total overhaul of the clinical R&D.

    Terrible place to work

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Research Triangle Park, NC

ProsSmall company so you have the opportunity to wear many hats and gain exposure to several operational functions

ConsPoor management (department and senior level)
    no company vision
many individuals in management positions have limited knowledge of industry standards
many department managers lack key management skils, such as people skills
    high turnover
many departments are poorly resourced (need to hire more people)
operational and financial processes are questionable, at best

Advice to Senior Managementto BOD: management at all levels needs to be closely examined

    Good coworkers, bad processes.

IS Analyst (Former Employee) Clayton, NC

ProsThe employees are very friendly, and the overall work environment is great. There are many opportunities to take on new projects, get training, and even change jobs. Communication is excellent at all levels.

ConsSmall tasks are over-managed. Validation is an absolute nightmare. Upper management is very quick to say no to any requests, so a lot of work either goes undone or gets done under the radar. IS management talks about leveraging synergy way too much.

Advice to Senior ManagementEncourage specialization. Don't expect everyone to be able to do everything for every project.

    Physician Substitute

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsExcellent benefits, PTO, insurance, profit sharing, 401K (especially prior to Grifols acquisition)

ConsSince the Grifols acquisition there is less priority on donor safety (no vending machines or any accomodations for nourishment) and far less information sharing between management and staff. There is no team approach; few regular update meetings no feedback on how we are doing unless it is negative.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe problem is likely at the corporate level. Accomplishments should be recognized and rewarded. Management should accept responsibility and not delegate all the work. Management should not allow bullying by area leads which can lead to a hostile work environment.

It could be better, it could be worse...

    Medical Supervisor (Former Employee)

ProsCompetitive pay, frequent bonuses, get to meet tons of new people.

ConsAlways very busy, hours may vary, must follow strict government guidelines (this is true in any plasma center)

    Advice to Senior Managementnone

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
