I worked at Taleo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Taleo was the pro. Best company ever worked for. Plenty of job opportunities. Taleo believed in giving opportunities to employees.

    Cons

Biggest challenge at Taleo was training/knowledge of employees - getting new hires up to speed. The job as an IC also wasn't that great. Not much support provided.

    Advice to Management

NA. Company doesn't exist any more.

I worked at Taleo full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great product; great field personnel.

    Cons

Management created competing comp plans which set up some antagonistic relationships. No celebration of wins or success. Mid level managers given too much autonomy and they abused their power in most situations. An air of selfishness was pervasive.

Immediate supervisor was immoral and manipulative to his employees.

    Pros

Great industry, great software product offerings, many opportunities for career advancement.

    Cons

Immediate R&D supervisor was mean and played tricks but was most likely only a reaction to pressure from management ... layoff threats were on a quarterly basis.

    Advice to Management

Always be upfront and sincere to your employees because they can tell if you are not.
