I worked at Tally Solutions full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Salary looks good on paper
You can easily pretend to work and get away with it :D :D :D
You can get into any role you want (developer can start doing sales, accounts member can start doing coding, etc etc)

    Cons

No work life balance (expect you to work on weekends)
No respect for employees time (Senior leaders come hours late for a meeting)
Stupid HR policies (mandatory 9 hours at work, Weirdest appraisal process, reimburse only what u spend and not a fixed travel allowance, if you resign they will scrutinize every bill of yours)
Highly centralized (Management interferes in everything)
Slow development processes (dont deliver what they promise)
    No development opportunities
    Incompetent leaders

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

don't try to do everything your own way. open your eyes to what other organizations do. if they are doing it and are successful, they may be doing something right.

    I worked at Tally Solutions

    Pros

Great pay scale, lots of reimbursements, high value system, great system management

    Cons

too much of haphazard processes, life is made difficult, rather than challenging, rules are looked upon according to whims and fancies, no clarity on roles and responsibilities, managers are confused about what they want, No work life balance. Can burn you out, Managers will only do a word of mouth instruction, No e-mails sent on important transactions, which adds to the confusion.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be clear on roles and responsibilities and stick to it, Make wok life flexible - This doesn't mean shorter working hours but make life flexible for employees rather than a strict 9 hours (even 8 hours 59 secs can mean a half day), appreciate the employees. Have an RnR

    I worked at Tally Solutions

    Pros

Salary is good, medical facilities are good, time is not a constraint for tech teams. Platform team is the best thing in Tally. A couple of architects are pretty smart.

    Cons

Their web development department sucks. No industry level standards are followed. Newly installed appraisal process will suck big time(it wasn't better before)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Adopt the agile process and release smaller incremental builds of features. You can't build complete sofware at once. Requirements are frequently changing.

  8. Doesn't look like product company

I worked at Tally Solutions full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Salary at its best , yearly increment for all employees , tax benefits since salary structure is good.

    Cons

Favoritism , politics , appraisal process, continuous appraisal , too much of work load during some period , unorganized employee structure , no process or document followed for development team.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please have some development process or document for projects . Encourage skills not favoritism. Change appraisal process . Have some proper work timings or evenly distributed work throughout the year

I worked at Tally Solutions full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Most of the people have good work life balance

    Cons

    Leadership
Leadership of the company is not very smart and dynamic actually people with very low education qualification(not even B.Tech) are at top position . They generally don't tend to experiment with new and latest technology and integrate with the product Also here all seniors are manager , no one is a techie . There are 0 number of software architects in many departments .

    Favoritism

In one department , one manager is free to come at 2:00 clock in office , play games throughout the day and then yell at subordinates all the day for not working hard if you work less than 12 hours while few other people of this department have all resource of department diverted to their growth .

    Project Quality

Since this company does not believe much in adopting and integrating new technologies in their product , most of the people work on very repetitive ,mundane and boring projects .

    Promotion
Only to favorite club - not to hard workers ( in most cases) :( . Bad appraisal timings . Happens once in 3-4 years .

    Salary
Good salary for freshers but not very good growth afterwards .Hence it becomes constant down the line .

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more proactive and adopt new technology in the product much earlier .

Top leadership people should have good education qualification and quality work experience . Words like innovation often do die at workstations of Tally employees
