    Pros

    Decent call volume
    PTO / Vacation earned
    Team mates are supportive

    Cons

    No upward Mobility
Compensation structure lacking - no raises; promotion gets a .50 increase / etched in stone
HIGH turnover - at least 2 people quit per training class as soon as training is over
Too many internal glitches to be unsuccessful - scorecard metrics
Balance of duties overwhelming - calls and email cases; all require follow up daily
No incentive to perform or seek promotion
"Favorites" and cliques are amongst us
Some management is unapproachable; attitude, no people skills; public embarrassment
Time off requests subject to discretion if ever reviewed
Employees are known for hygiene / cleanliness issues
Department is the scapegoat for EVERYTHING

    Advice to Management

They won't be open to this, as they've run things this way for years. Forward thinkers appear to have been fired or quit.

    Pros

The employees are some of the best in the business, and moving from entry level to mid-to-higher level is easily within scope.

    Cons

Training is lax and questionable, typically involving a round-robin of shadowing with both seasoned reps and newly hired agents - some as new as several weeks. Compensation was likewise an issue in most of my time there, with issues new hires making substantially more than seasoned reps going unnoticed at best and being forcibly shut down otherwise.

    Advice to Management

Consistency in management would be refreshing. The difference in how one team is run versus another is staggering - general policies like working from home and scheduling/tardiness can be fast and loose on one side of the aisle and comparably draconian on the other. It is also recommended that internal hires/promotions be compensated to within the standard salary bands of their positions upon acceptance of the position, rather than months/years later or not at all.

    Pros

Great employees, They are like a big family. Great place to gain experience

    Cons

Pay is ok. It could and SHOULD be better with the types of contracts they have with clients. Quality is not on the same page with the rules as they do their own thing.

    Advice to Management

You need to pay your employee's more for the work you have them doing. Better training needs offered as well as training to keep everyone "up to date."

    Pros

Depending on the team you are on, meaning who the manager and the team lead are, it can be a lot of fun. Not to mention independent. And again based on your team manager, you may have lots of flexibility to work from home (ie: max 2 days a week). The company is a strong player in the industry and due to the services it provides, it will not lay off people very easily. It is a fast growing company that gives merit-based bonuses. Health benefits are really good. Somewhat flexible work schedule.

    Cons

There's not much ability for teammates to back each other up because there each client has a specifically tailored management plan. Some team managers do not allow much work-from-home opportunity. They are even reluctant to allow it when you are sick. If you are a good employee however, they might let it slide more easily (as long as you aren't sick often). You are expected to work from home in the evenings sometimes. There is also an expectation to maintain a 50-60 hour work schedule with no compensation for the extra worked hours (this is done to maximize marginal revenue benefits).

    Advice to Management

The most important internal improvement that can be made are the ones related to procedures and processes that will make the jobs of client service analysts and their support teams easier.

    Pros

If you are driven and smart you stand out easily.

    Cons

    - Lazy co-workers, 20/80 rule is in full effect here
    - Management has been promoted with having little management abilities/ leadership skills across the company
    - Really bad product. They are an acquisition/merger of 6 different companies and their processes and procedures are still as such.

    Advice to Management

    - Hire a process improvement specialist
    - Pay Life Cycle team members more money and hire intelligent people. Maybe they will care more about their job and client satisfaction.
    - Work environment does not promote a fast paced, and driven culture. You need more young individuals who want to work hard, but your culture doesn't support them.
    - Train your managers and employees, invest in them and they will invest in you.

    Pros

I have a great CSM who cares about the job, the clients, and her employees.

    Cons

I do the work of a CSA and a TL and get paid as an invoice processor. There's no way to get raises that keep up with inflation. New hires that I'm training are getting paid 30% more than I make per year.

    Advice to Management

Meritocracy. If someone is doing an exceptional job, going above and beyond - they should be compensated accordingly. A piece of paper isn't going to feed my family.

    Pros

    Okay pay/market pay
    Okay benefits
    Easy job
Looks good in your employment history.

    Cons

    In fighting
    No support on major issues
Poor relationship with a vast majority of vendors.
Next to no employee knowledge of a majority of vendors
    Blatant nepotism
    Unfair promotion selections
    Lack of incentives
    Under utilization of skilled employees
    Poor departmental relationships
Lack of general knowledge about telecommunications across the board
    Poor communication.

    Advice to Management

Give some type of incentives, anything, to employees willing to put in the hard work to support the company. Utilize those who show that they are high functioning and skilled employees better. Offer bonuses to employees annually, even Wal-mart employees receive bonuses, you have the money. Improve relations with other departments, instead of building more rivalries and animosity. Do not promote employees who can barely perform their existing job functions let alone give them large amounts of responsibility. Promote more employees internally instead of bringing people off the streets who have no experience to work above those who have years of it. Look closely into workflow issues, especially when one employee is essentially doing the work of three from different departments. Listen to your employees instead of invalidating them because it suits you. Look to improve vendor relations with carriers besides Verizon and AT&T. Hire more people with actual experience and education relevant to the industry or at least experience. Provide more opportunities to internal employees before hiring more employees or filling a position from outside. Provide better tools, I used a poorly functioning, ancient computer for nearly two years before getting a new one while other employees were getting corporate phones, laptops and iPads. Offer more assistance to employees who are obviously distressed with the state of their work environment. Put an end to the blatant nepotism. Provide clear and concise training to all employees across the board. Place more accountability to those who have a long history of mistakes instead of protecting them because they're tenured. Provide clear and concise job roles to everyone and ensure those in client services understand them, half of them can't even tell you what certain departments, giving false and unreal expectations to those who perform the work for the clients. Again, apply some feedback from your employees. Give people a reason to keep working there instead of a list of why they should quit.
