    I worked at Tangoe full-time

    Pros

Great teams and people you work with are great.

    Cons

Stagnant salary even for high performing employees and bonuses are few and far between.

    Advice to Management

Who doesn't think executive team is out of touch with front line employees. Executive compensation seem high compared to company size. Share the wealth with your employee base and watch your turnover rate go down and watch morale go up. All in all it will help you retain those precious customers. Maybe the stock price will rebound too.

I have been working at Tangoe full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Since it's a fast growing company and always coming up with new solutions we have a good and better opportunity to learn things. And a best platform to showcase your skills and expertise. Management identifies the expertise which encourages to show or prove more and more. Gives a better picture of business which helps to think in a broader way.

    Cons

Certain problem with the facilities which can be definitely worked and rectified.

    Advice to Management

Would advise to have Effective Management instead of Micro Management. An employee would deliver much better when he/she is in peace of mind not in pressure of mind.

I worked at Tangoe full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Can't think of one off the top of my head.

    Cons

I first heard about a technique called managing out while taking a business ethics class in college. Managing out is a technique that sleazy managers use in order to get unwanted employees to voluntarily leave without having to fire them in order to avoid unemployment claims. I have witnessed this many times during my time at Tangoe. There are two ways to do this. The covert sleazebag manager will pretend to be on your side but will work against you behind the scenes. He will do things like only give you projects that have little or no chance of being successful or change your seat to an undesired location. He will slowly do things to frustrate you with the understanding that you will eventually hate him. The idea is to get you to leave on your own to avoid firing you. Tangoe does not want to deal with unemployment claims. The blatant sleazebag will publicly show his contempt towards an unwanted employee. This is usually done by berating his mark on a conference call, an email with multiple recipients, or in front of a group. The intent is to anger or embarrass the employee into leaving voluntarily. This purpose of this is also to get the employee to leave without having to fire him. If the two methods mentioned above fail, Tangoe will decide to cut their losses by letting you go. Your manager and HR will place you on a 30 day improvement plan. At this point they have already decided to let you go. The performance improvement plan is just a formality to cover their behinds legally. Whatever you do, do not sign the performance improvement plan! The PIP will have unobtainable goals. Don't make your firing any easier for them. You should start looking for another job if Tangoe does this to you. There's not much else that you can do at this point. HR will not protect you. HR is in on it. HR is not your friend. It's not HR's job to protect you. It's HR's job to protect the company. Whatever you do, don't give them the satisfaction of leaving unless you have another job lined up. If you leave without another source of income then Tangoe will win. Let them fire you if you can't find another job. Make Tangoe process your unemployment claim! A company can basically fire you for any reason at any time but they can not harass you in order to persuade you to quit. If you see this happening to you, it may be a good idea to start documenting each incident as well as contacting an attorney to make sure that your rights aren't being violated.

    Advice to Management

Put an end to this unethical practice.
