I have been working at Target full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Development, fun team/culture. It's a great place to work. As a manager, I've been able to influence our store culture directly. My new boss is awesome!

    Cons

Not enough hours in the day, because I'm not salary, I don't always feel like there's enough time to take care of my responsibilities. Can't get promoted without a degree. Training is short and doesn't cover everything we need.

I have been working at Target full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Paid training, meet some good people, 30 minute lunch plus two 15 minute breaks.

    Cons

Working overnight logistic, only benefit I thought I had was to do what ever you want during the day (for me it was school). That's not the case here, from unloading trucks to pushing products to the floor and working the backroom you're so exhausted ,you just want to sleep forever. Your managers are either a hit or miss ,I've gotten some really cool hard working ones and then you get your college degree touting know nothing ones. Getting promoted, you really have to work for it or be good-looking.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop being so up-tight about unions.Stop picking and choosing employees to work either during the day or night based on looks and not skill sets. Stay up to date on technology. Promote those who deserve it. LISTEN to team member ideas and not just say "we'll take it into consideration" and then don't. Target as a whole is a good company to work for, with a little tweaking and open-ears it'll get better.
