Pros
-Great atmoshphere
-Wonderful people to work with
-Keen on feedback and improvement
Cons
-Have to do work at store. Little room to work from home or off the clock which I felt was hard to do especially after working 8 hours and having to work on a project for another 2 hours at the store. I understand that they want their employees to get paid when they do work but I would of liked to have the opportunity to send emails and work on my projects from home.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the good work! Brand advertising is what sets Target apart from the rest and makes the company proud.
Pros
The other team member are helpful , the environment is great, team members makes working together much more enjoyable.
Cons
some items that are seen online are not actually in store so it makes it a hassle when customers got questions. Stocking away items and dealing with customers due to the fact other team member direct them towards you even though you can / cannot assist them
Advice to Senior Management
none at the moment
Pros
alot of communication, flexible time off.
Cons
schedule, inability to be flexible
Advice to Senior Management
allow management to make changes so long they remain within policies.
Pros
Pay, Benefits, commute, managements understanding of famaily before work
Cons
If you are not female and between 25-30 you will struggle to advance

Pros
Sales floor team members are incredibly helpful, everyone really is willing to help you when you need it and answer questions as long as you're willing to ask. For the most part, management is good about accommodating you if an emergency comes up and you can't work a shift. You get to work with a variety of people and products, each day is a bit different.
Cons
Management is often rude and dismissive of concerns, you are better off asking another team member or taking your concern/complaint straight to corporate. During training there is A LOT of propaganda, most notably a 23 minute video about the evils of unions.
Pros
Very competitive pay, good benefits, good work environment in comparison to competitors (nice interior of store, etc.), great allocation of duties, team work is a HUGE belief at the expense of the individual
Cons
Team work is so focused at the expense of the individual, a lot of "inner" social circles that if you are not a "part of" it will be virtually impossible to be promoted.
Advice to Senior Management
Reduce bias and all of the "inner circles" even though everyone chooses to "ignore" the fact that there are social circles.
Pros
The culture is truly fast, fun, and friendly. Target understands marketing and offers tremendous opportunities for its employees.
Cons
The company is extremely large. At times jobs are narrow in scope and are limited in terms of overall appeal.
Advice to Senior Management
Find ways to create jobs with larger scope so people can understand how to align people across the organization.
Pros
The little things they do for the employees.
Cons
Customers just like anywhere you could work.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the good work.
Pros
-Daily recognition for work done
-Able to get time-off when needed
-Open door policy with management
-Teamwork encouraged
-Able to get time-off without burning into vacation time
Cons
-Problems not always dealt with by management
-Some departments work harder than others for the same pay
-New supervisors sometimes try to put their "stamp" on things
Advice to Senior Management
If it's not broke, don't try to fix it!
Pros
Good pay, easy to talk to management, everyone was very friendly, time off was given whenever you needed it, flexible with your hours, etc.
Cons
Your performance was directly related to how many Target credit cards you got customers to open (pointless), when people didn't show up for their shift in a small department (food, photo, garden, carts) you were coerced to fill that shift even if you had no idea what you were doing. Several times I had to work serving food, no training, wholly different POS. Just got dropped off there.
Advice to Senior Management
Don't focus so much on the Target credit cards. Listen to your employees on the front lines. "Genchi Genbutsu".. go and see.
