I worked at Target full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Very flexible hours, great team environment and always worked around schedule during no peak seasons.

    Cons

Management would not side with workers over discrepancies in hours, vacation time and overall efficiency of logo

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Company values and additional perks.

I have been working at Target full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexibility of scheduling works really well with a student schedule
Vacation and PH time accrual were very convenient

    Cons

Holidays and Weekends make it hard to visit family if they don't live close
Low pay for someone who has a lot of responsibility and access to private information

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay HR TMs more, especially considering how much information they have access to and the amount of responsibility placed on them

I have been working at Target full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Awesome training resources, fun company events, great coworkers... Presentation team lead had a lot of responsibility, but it is new every day and you are in on all special projects in the store.

    Cons

Salaries could be higher for the amount of stress involved. Committed teammembers are hard to find because of flex scheduling. Some weeks there are no hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure you are really listening to the teams needs.

I worked at Target part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great stepping stone; It was a good first job, learned a lot to better myself and move to a better company. Would recommend to a someone looking for a first job.

    Cons

Computer based reviews. New annual reviews are crap; hours cut immensely is the computer didn't deem you as as productive as you should be. ETL's don't make the schedules anymore. Computer gives set hour s& the ETL's "can't" override for more hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leadership should be more formal. Should nip the "Too many chiefs, not enough Indians" syndrome. Everyone tried to tell you what to do, even evenly ranked employees.

I worked at Target part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The co workers there were fun. I guess if you like fast paced work, the holidays were crazy.

    Cons

For the most part, the STLs and even some of the team leads were clique-y and standoffish. Working in retail is pretty terrible, but even so, the guests at Target are pretty snobby.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put faith in your team members. I know there are some low hanging fruit there, but if you give some a chance, they'll impress you.

I worked at Target part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good benefits, flexible shifts, employee discounts. I enjoyed the experience working part time for a solid retail company. The stores are a great place to meet new people and learn about merchandising. This was a nice flexible job while I finished college.

    Cons

Pay could be more competitive. The other retailers in the Tampa Bay area offer a better starting rate.

I have been working at Target full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

I love my co workers and the relationships I've made throughout the years

    Cons

The company is implementing a lot of changes this year and loosing a lot of good talent due to it.

I worked at Target part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Team members are friendly, especially those in LP. The staff is supportive when you need it. If you are looking for something to help pay bills or earn a bit of extra cash on the side, this is your place. Friendly supervisors and great team leadership.

    Cons

Customers are great, but you can usually run into the real inconsiderate ones. Management will stick to the customer 100% of the time, even when they are screaming at the sales associate and you are trying to keep your calm. Busy days and sometimes long hours when staff is short handed. Most of the time, working by yourself in the department, even when it gets busy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your co-workers and listen to them good. You wouldn't have your numbers if it wasn't for the little guy trying to do his best to up-sale to every customer that walks into the department. Management needs to add more people to certain departments, most times it feels like it is understaffed when there are people working in areas they shouldn't be in.
