Pros
The little things they do for the employees.
Cons
Customers just like anywhere you could work.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the good work.
Pros
training provided was very thorough at first, coworkers were well chosen and made it worth going to work everyday, the work atmosphere was fresh and inviting, Target's overall reputation gave employees a sense of pride.
Cons
since this Target was brand new, the management was very shaky and unprepared as were the team leads. continuously facing organizational problems that would impede on daily work life.
Advice to Senior Management
though I have no sense of howt other Target management operates, I feel this could have been greatly improved upon for a start-up store.
Pros
co workers are nice
ok benefits
Cons
crappy pay for the amount they want us to do
so much favoritism not even funny
you have to kiss ass to get anywhere
you cant swap shifts
good luck transferring if you want to thats a joke
upper management gets the big bonuses at the end of the year and team members get jack
they spend more money on the public then they do on there own employees
they support political candidates
Advice to Senior Management
why dont you guys try this on for size and actually listen to what your employees are so unhappy about and fix it
Pros
Once you get hired and pass three month review, it's almost impossible to get fired. Even if you're a slacker.
Cons
Switching shifts is a good way to get an unreliability tag, regardless of if you work the same amount of hours scheduled or not. Schedules are hard to change, which isn't good if you're a student, and hours are subject to change without notice. Example: cashiers began getting a 3.25 shift so that Target would not have to give them breaks or lunches. Some managers like to stir unrest in team members and pit them against each other.
Advice to Senior Management
My suggestion would be to judge workers on job performance, not clocking in on time. Both are important, but if team members always clock in on time, their job performance isn't being reviewed.
Pros
-friendly environment
-good work team
-request change of hours through the target website
-tasks fairly simple and straightforward
-team members assist you when you need help
-work independently
Cons
-minimum wage
-can be boring sometimes
-management didn't really praise you
-sometimes there weren't anything to do

Advice to Senior Management
Management should really reach out and help the newbies, and be supportive. Without the proper support, employees can easily feel left out and unenthusiastic about their job.
Pros
I'm in college and they were very open in working around my school schedule and my extra curricular activities that i was involved in
Cons
The pay raises are very minimal. I recently got a really good review and only got a .22 percent pay raise
Advice to Senior Management
The advice i would give is that not to expect too much from team members. I believe that sometime the workload and deadline is unreasonable at times
Pros
Co workers
fulfillment of helping customers
achievement of getting sales
Cons
No GROWTH, FAVORITISM,NO equal, opportunities
Advice to Senior Management
Be more approachable. Be Fair.
Pros
Its a good first time job for the young people who need a little extra cash to have in their pockets.
Cons
It can be a little stressful when trying to do your job and your stopped by several guests asking a lot of questions.
Advice to Senior Management
Recognize the team members more and not just see the bad stuff. Its a lot of hard work and stuff.
Pros
The team members are great
Cons
The district managers have an unreasonable expectation for performance
Advice to Senior Management
There should be more incentives for employees
Pros
Great retail experience
Meet a lot of great people
Cons
Poor leadership communication
Slave drivers with very poor shift coverage hours
Advice to Senior Management
Spend the hours to get the floor covered so the store does not suffer both through the guests' eyes and employees' eyes
