    Pros

10s and 12s hours shifts, lots of overtime. Good benefits once you get permanent. I think it's a fair pay for labor job.

    Cons

10s and 12s hours shifts, lots of overtime. In peak season you'll be working up to 6 days a week, 12 hours a day, mostly mandatory. And the only holiday off that you'll ever get for sure it's Christmas.

    Advice to Management

There's a lot of permanent workers that fool around and take it too easily. I think there should be better evaluations.

    Pros

Awesome work conditions. Casual work attire. Work with a great bunch of folks. Everyday something new.

    Cons

Unrealistic performance expectations. Changing/competing priorities. Cannot seem to keep senior management around long enough for any consistency. Management does not trust lower level supervisors to perform

    Advice to Management

Set realistic expectations and trust your team to make goals. Do not micromanage.

    Pros

Target is a good company to work for because management does take care of their employees. There is also room for advancement.

    Cons

One of the biggest cons of working in the retail industry is challenging situations with customers. Must acquire a lot of patience and problem-solving skills.

    Advice to Management

Being flexible with part-time workers availability/scheduling.

    Pros

Great benefits, great pay, and they are invested in their people's development. Overall, the company has great intentions.

    Cons

Horrible upper-management. The culture is toxic, and you cannot trust seniors nor the GM. They micromanage their Group Leaders. The company gives team member level too much entitlement where they lose trust from their executives. Also the turnover rate for executives is ridiculous. In my year with this FC, i have seen the majority of executives leave in a small amount of time due to them being mistreated from upper management. People feel disheartened and discouraged. The job itself is not hard nor stressful but the politics are.

    Advice to Management

I would say defend your executive team, and trust in their abilities to do their job. Hold people accountable when it is necessary. Learn when to share information and when to keep it to yourself, and build trust within your exec team.
