    Pros

    Good work environment, friendly co-workers, small company where your voice can be heard.

    Cons

    More of an entry level job, no room for advancement. The tasks are tedious and you only can learn so much. The pay is not that great.

    None to think of or mention.

    Cons

    Management only cares about bottom line and no care or respect for the employee. They treat people poorly and are demeaning

    Advice to Management

    Upper Management..Look at who runs your business units and dig a little deeper to care and ask your employees how they feel about their management they report to. Blind spots all over the place. You will get an earful!

    Mismanagement
    Senior management does not focus on employee satisfaction

    Exhibition industry isn't the most intellectually stimulating

    People are very protective of their jobs

    Managers focus on making short term gains instead of long term sustainable solutions

    Set processes across organisation to improve employee satisfaction. Improve decision making, remove silos between teams. Create a meritocratic environment

    Pros

    Worked there more than 10 years. Lots of growth. End up in high management. Distributors of most products. Very good value add propositions

    Cons

    Top management only look at numbers. No Care and growth that they preach . Do not keep an eye on a financial model, ending up retrenching.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your staff. manage from the bottom up. Is not always money. Turn around staff is too high as do not care about the human factor

    International Travel with nice collegues. Thats about it

    - Poor senior management
    - Very secretive culture
    - Welfare of employees? what that?
    - None supportive and incompetent managers

    Opportunities to travel the globe
    Opportunities to manage products and people
    Some good quality products to sell into
    Opportunity to work with some bright people

    Cons

    Training very dependent on who you work for
    Sink or swim mentality
    No retirement benefits and limited earning potential
    Salary, training and work life varies greatly depending on who and what product you work on
    They will take advantage (if you let them) in terms of work load and or salary negotiation

    Advice to Management

    Offer the same training and salary opportunities across all media products. Have healthy mentors and be fair in your dealings with employees.

    Management is Hypocritical at Times in regards to Work-life balance
    Salary is weary
    Senior Staff fails to see the results of their actions
    Often more competitive environment than team

    Advice to Management

    Take responsibility for your actions and realize what you are doing. Don't just treat your employees as commodities and keep them informed. Learn to work as a team and collaborate between your units, don't just think inside the box.

    Pros

    Good office atmosphere (depending on where you sat!)
    Promoted teamwork, not competition
    Very good holiday allowance and private healthcare
    No micro-management
    Expanding and growing company
    Job security
    Expenses paid almost immediately
    Great product portfolio - some good choices made in their acquisitions
    Opportunity for personal development and to take on more responsibility

    Cons

    Experiences varied depending on who your manager was. I was very fortunate to be managed by a very supportive line manager, but other divisiuons not so much.
    Not so interested in the welfare of their staff
    Sales people didn't know their targets which makes it hard to know if you're doing well!
    No HR department so no health and safey at work
    People seen as commoidiities
    Not very good IT
    No flexibility with working hours
    Disparity in salaries for the same jobs in different divisions

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your staff more, particularly in acquisitions when the benefit of that person's experience in a particular sector could in turn benefit you
    Be proactive not reactive
    Show more awareness of health and safety
    Consider flexible working
    Look at more structured career progression against KPIs
    Be more honest and open with your staff

    Pros

    If you live in West London it's easy to get to, there are some really great people working there, it's a shame that every time you see them out of work hours all they do is moan about how much they hate the company and their jobs.

    Cons

    It will get you by but don't expect anyone to offer any progression in the company. If you look to the management for support you will not get it. Tarsus seems to be a company where everyone is vying to be top dog and would not let something like the success of others get in their way. The company promotes the stealing of ideas as a career progression tool and the blame culture is stronger here than anywhere I have come across.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to the staff that actually do the job and not the middle managers who are desparate to cover their own backs.
