Pros
- Good salary compared to other employers (Indian and Indian MNCs)
- Onsite oppurtunity is available rather easily after a certain years of experience
- Corporate structure is strong
- Knowledgeable HRs
Cons
- Lack of merit based assignment of role
- Lack of merit based salary rise structure.
- Annual rating is a sort of musical chair affair
- Some corporate process do not make sense. (Such as making the employees visit a set of TCS forum just to get a visit count even when the employee has no use for them)
Advice to Senior Management
We have good corporate structure backbone, a good HR/Admin/Other support staff, a good brand value, great oppurtunitites when it comes to onsite. The things that need updation/change are the Role assigners - RMG and the whole musical chair affair that is rating and curve fitting - Global Speed.
Pros
Job Security & re-location all over country
Cons
Employees are treated badly..
No value for employees personal life, only motive of higher management is to make associates work like a machine work until they say take rest.
Un-Professional way of making employees to work in Saturday, Sundays and national holidays.
Less compensation, for the amout of work done by associates it is Peanuts.
Impossible deadlines for completing project with limitted number of resources
No adequate planning
Advice to Senior Management
Wake up!!!.
Be real in commiting deadlines.. At least have discussion with associates before commiting any timelines with clients..
Pros
Salary is good.
Job security.
Government style job so job hours are not a problem
Cons
Resource management and project management has no respect towards employees especially lateral joiners.
Experienced professionals are billed for freshers role and responsibilities.
Inconsistent mapping of technical skills, experience into projects.
When you try to discuss this their attitude is like so what if you have experience you have to do this work.
Highly bureaucratic structure , horrible politics,
To get opportunities make sure your are in very good books of managers else forget it.
HR should be renamed as team to please managers.
Managers and resource manager is always CORRECT and you are always wrong...don't try to argue with them...it's hopeless...
Horrible Transport
Advice to Senior Management
Yours is the most bureaucratic government style organization.
Majority of the experienced professionals are technically horrible due to the kind of projects they work in,
You bill experienced professionals for freshers role.....
Your project managers and resource managers treat laterals like thrash.. disrespect them like anything.....please share the business trick that continues to make you Top IT company in India.
Pros
Great ethics to be in Tata group overall.

Advice to Senior Management
Focus on innovation and not just services.
Pros
Lots of Opportunities for everyone...

Lack of co ordination and lesser pay for people who stay for long duration.
Advice to Senior Management
Improve work environment related issues.

Advice to Senior Management
Track the career of an associate throughout the Project.Right now changing a project means similar to changing a career. And reward Loyalty and get your HR facts right.Promoting an EP to AST at 6 years of service while an associate with good performance struggles to be an AST at 8 years..Simply pathetic.!
Pros
Initially, It provides a good training for the employee, and tests and puts them in a apt position. It gives exposure to the external world and gives full space to open up and do your work with a cool mind.
