Pros
Company is fair in giving opportunities to the employees for learning and growth albeit with limitations.
Brand TATA definately adds weight to your CV!
Good canteen and recreational facilities in most of the Mumbai offices.
Cons
The annual ratings are on the whims and fancies of the managers.
Internal growth is limited and gradual which takes toll on the employee's career graph eventually!
Company cut down on tissues in the washroom during recession, how gross..how about laying off some of the senior mgmt instead and saving crores of rupees annually!
Advice to Senior Management
Improve on the middle level management, HR should be sensitive towards employee's need(finance).
The communication gap between senior mangement and lower to middle levels ees is significantly high, town halls are not helping if the real scenario is hidden behind the painted rosy picture. Every now and then you readn the newspapers, TCS to have increased thier revenue and gaining so much profit but it almost never trickles down to the grassroot level.
Pros

Condusive environment to work, friendly atmosphere, effective event management etc..
Cons
Ineffective communication to employees on Policies

Keep a look on the reasons and try to resolve those issues because of which employees are leaving the company.
Pros
Brand value.Good place for experienced candidates to settle in.
Cons
If you are a fresher or minimal experienced . please dont get into TCS.The middle level management is very poor. Too much politics and partiality
Advice to Senior Management
please change the management system
Pros

Cons
No respect for people at workplace. Quality of hiring is important. Chandra should stop hiring truckloads of people from his hometown. See the news in Times of India: Despite worries about the financial situation in the US and Europe, campuses have cause for cheer. IT major Tata Consultancy Services has recruited "1,755"students from SASTRA University campuses in Thanjavur and "Kumbakonam" over two days.
Advice to Senior Management
People are your asset treat them like it.
