Pros – Very Diverse. Some great people. Excellent projects. The energy is simply too much, The job security is great but actually allows people to go lazy.
Some superb solutions. Capability to deliver is arguably the best in the world. Does not rip off clients like the Accenture and the Cap Gemini.
Some projects things happen like lightning. And in those projects people make their careers.
Cons – Along with great people, some very mediocre people are there too that drag you down, The business processes are very poor in some project and great in others. No homogeneous experience. Organisation runs on email. Everything requires an email.
Some people are continuously finding reasons to avoid work. Specifically in the branches in the east part of India. But don;t get me wrong, Some very very sharp people work out of those branches too and that is why those units are flourishing.
The pay packages are pathetic in the US for expat workforce.
The approval chains are too much. Everything works on email approval. And there are layers and layers of approval for everything.
And the solution of everything is not a lot of hours. The expectation is senior engineers do PMo work along with their daily work. Please hire some Commerce graduated for any 100+ People relationships so that the engineers can spend the time doing engineering work and not Work order creation/allocation etc.
Advice to Senior Management – Please stop excel sheet based management. Drive for standardization and Please bring your pay up to the market level in the US.
Invest more in training up people in projects.
Please can you start talking about speeding up processes.
And please get approval layers reduced. Remove the email approval process (those OK emails)
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
