Cons – Worst kind of Politics, Too much tussle between internal departments (e.g. EIS vs ISU), Pathetic HR, RMG, Promotions are too difficult purely on Merit basis,

Advice to Senior Management – Stop cutting corners for each and every penny.

Pros – Diversity of co-workers and chance to work outside India.
Process oriented and matured

Cons – Super Huge company and Individual interest get los in its way.
Easy to surviver and hard to progress upward on ladder of leadership.

Advice to Senior Management – Reduce the layers of manager.
ISU need to be divided furthur.

Cons – Low salary at onsite locations
Not processing green cards
Not processing h1b for 7+ years experienced professionals

Advice to Senior Management – Process green card for all existing people in USA as after new immigration bill TCS would not be allowed to file ant new h1b or l1 visas.

Pros – Plenty of projects on various domains and technologies.

Cons – 1)Ratings are never put based on your performance. They try to fit the bell curve thats it and you could be the unlucky one. In case of a lower rating your salary reduces.
2) TOO much POLITICS, to the level you can get crushed easily if you dont take steps.

Advice to Senior Management – How can you reduce someones salary ?? Pleas fix this. There are other ways to deal with low performers.

Pros – job security is the only positive aspect of a job in TCS. Usually you wouldn't be fired unless you do something overtly bad.

Cons – no work life balance is there.You will have to slog inspite of being paid in nuts.

Advice to Senior Management – please be more sensitive to employee's needs.Work life balance is very important.Also the appraisal process is highly demotivating.
