I have been working at Tata Consultancy Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Offers 6 week of valuable training in different types of technologies. There are many types of projects/clients/roles technically available. Decent benefit package is provided.

    Cons

As a new hire, most time spent on the bench without earning any real experience. Roles available for a new hire is usually QA or support. Project selection is limited. Resource management does not do a good job of connecting a person on the bench to an interesting/worthwhile project.

I have been working at Tata Consultancy Services full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Better opportunities for associates from offshore. A lot of room to learn. Work culture depends on the project. Upper management is proficient in getting new businesses.

    Cons

Promotions will be totally dependent more on your relationship than on your performance. You should be a "Yes" master to your supervisors. Company values its other assets more rather than employees. Uncertainty on the tenure of your role in the project. Even though the pay is at par with the market, take home will be less. Don't know how!
