I worked at Tata Power full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    1. Treats employees equally
    2. Its the best company to work for above mid management level. In work level getting promotion is challenging
    3. Lots of training and personal development

    Cons

    1. faster career growth largely depends on which division you are posted, be it a project site or corporate office
    2. In some plants its already saturated so slow career growth

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    1. Giving importance on retention of old employees as well as GETs.
    2. Too many lateral entries in some plants are a challenge in maintaining the uniform Tata Culture.

  11.

I have been working at Tata Power full-time for more than a year

    Pros

A lot of training, good culture, friendly and helpful people, gives house to stay. opportunity for first hand experience. Mentoring is great. Life was good there.

    Cons

Growth is very slow. Salary is not at par with market. 6 days working for engineers. stagnation comes very soon. Smart work required. Big teams may have conflicts on them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to control the political conflicts in a plant. Feedback given during one to one discussions should be given a thought. Policies that are not being used or are ineffective should be scraped.
