I worked at Teavana full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Free tea while on shift good discount promote from within

    Cons

stressful sales poor communication between managers and employees promotions based on sales and not on how you treat people

    Advice to Management

Cut back on the pushy sales it doesn't help promote a healthy fun environment for either the employees or the customers. Stop promoting managers who have no people skills because you are more focused on sale skills.

I have been working at Teavana part-time

    Pros

Lots of Tea!!!, flexible hours especially as a student, wonderful team, fairly easy job

    Cons

Change in managers is constant because not one seems to stay for long probably because of the low salary, you are expected to make sales but it is now less pushy, and the are manager gets annoying. Favoritism from some managers creates unfair hours

    Advice to Management

    Treat employees better, better hours

I have been working at Teavana (Less than a year)

    Pros

The best reason to work at Teavana is because of the partnership with Starbucks and the different tea selective and meeting some awesome people

    Cons

The pay sucks, and management doesn't seem to be so good. The selling aspects sucks because they push you to sell pots that people don't want or care for. The tea has artificial flavoring so it's not even that good

    Advice to Management

The turn over rate sucks. They need to choose people that actually want to be there, or help them succeed and develop them instead of cutting hours or letting them go.

I worked at Teavana full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

unlimited tea on the clock, if sales goals are met commission is fantastic, very caring and customer-oriented company

    Cons

pushy sales tactics, long hours standing/walking, LOTS of information to learn, unreasonable sales expectations

    Advice to Management

Slow down company growth! Less stores = more demand = actually able to meet sales goals that are set.

I have been working at Teavana full-time

    Pros

    Pros are discounts at starbucks.

    Cons

No matter what is going on, Teavana only wants to hear that you have had big sales and nothing more. Even if there is no roads leading to your store, you are expected to beat last year sales no matter what is going on in the area. Work every weekend, no matter what. No days off friday - Sunday. Expects you to work on your days off. Not salary, hourly and pay is not competitive with other sales manager jobs or even Mcdonald's.

    Advice to Management

    Competitive wages.
