    It was ok.

    ProsAs with most companies, the coworkers and immediate managment were very good.

    ConsAgain, as with most companies, upper managment was not in touch with those of us in the trenches. They would come to visit, but really didn't want to hear the truth.

    Advice to Senior ManagementBe honest with your subordinanats and allow them to be honest in return.

    No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    It was a good company at one time, but got bogged down in its problems.

    ProsCustomers and co-workers are generally pretty decent people. Work, responsibilities -- not overwhelming.

    ConsOld-school style management. Not progressive or even up to date on current management trends. As a result, company is facing tough challenges. Morale is poor.

    Company culture changed and ruined a good thing

    ProsPros would include doing very rewarding work, impacting and improving the lives of others, and working with some great people.

    ConsCons would be that there is underdeveloped leadership and personnel practices, lack of future focus and innovation, poor compensation packages, and manipulative company polotics.

    Advice to Senior ManagementPut half as much investment, care, respect, and thought into your employees as you do your students and you would have a much more successful and well-balanced organization.

    Prosdecent pay when you succeed
    hard working people at branch level
    free technical courses (even though they may be dated)

    Consfloundering company, senior/corporate management changes direction often, company will not invest in infrastructure, lack of corporate employee accountability, very poor attention to detail

    Advice to Senior Managementdemand accountability from corporate employyes (even the "C" level) as strongly as you do branch employees. pick a direction and stay with it

    Home office clueless

    Director of Career Services (Former Employee)

    ProsPeople in the local offices were very good at their jobs and cared for the well being of their students.

    ConsThe folks in the home office seemed unaware of how a TechSkills office should be run, how to create revenue and whom to hire.

    Advice to Senior ManagementGet a new CEO... one who has understands the balance sheet, how to create income and can relate one-on-one with the folks in the field.

    Used to be a great place to work but changes at the corporate level made it a different place entirely

    Good staff and student relations
    Able to take advantage of obtaining additional IT and Medical Certifications

    ConsCorporate changes from the top made things different and brought down employee moral.
