Pros
It is hard to find someone you don't like - everyone is very friendly and easy to get along with. Health benefits are fantastic. Very casual atmosphere.
Cons
very little pay... I make a few dollars above minimum wage; I make about as much as a telemarketer.
They force you to work shifts you can't, and force you to change jobs. They move you around like you're an item, not a human. I understand the need for flexable workers, but to completely change someone's shift hours and work days with 2 days notice is just not right.
Some support teams are treated differently than others. For example, some support teams have to ask for permission to use the restroom; which I find humiliating.
The work is mentally and emotionally exausting, you are switching gears minute after minute - there is no down time to focus on doing work. They hire just enough to meet minimum requirements; so if someone quits (which is frequent) or goes on vacation; you have to fill in completely. Things change frequently, and are often poorly communicated.Advice to Senior Management
My advice to Upper Managment is to realize what we do on a daily basis, and make it easier for us to do it. Trust me, it may not be the most cost effective at first, but the companies that hire you will be way more satisfied with your services; and recommend you to other companies.
