I worked at Technion full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great organization, good people both on the Academic Staff and the Administrative staff. Interesting positions and work and super great atmosphere. Really good social benefits and compensation plans. The Employee organization is strong and protects the employees, Once you get tenure you can change positions within the organization.

    Cons

The base salary is on the low side and if you're a very qualified person you might get bored fast and not always find another suitable position within the organization. Takes 2 years to get tenure.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase base salaries and encourage early retirement to encourage young talents to join.

    Pros

There is an atmosphere of seriousness and a clear acceptance of individuals, while assuring that teaching and learning standards are of the highest level, as befits the top technical university in Israel.

    Cons

I do not have access to a computer in my office, and this is a major drawback in my work, as I most of my planning and all of my correspondence via computer.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please consider junior staff as having rights.

I worked at Technion part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

As a B.Sc. student, I worked as a teaching assistant. This is a part time job fitted to research students.

    Cons

This is not a permanent job, unless one is looking for an academic career.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have no advice, since excellent people work well even without tight supervision.
