    Pros

Helping improve the lives of the people in Afghanistan and Haiti. Communicating with people from other countries.

    Cons

Lack of information sharing. CEO thinks he knows everything. All major and some minor decisions are made by the CEO and to a lesser extent the CFO. They use a top down management style. Scared to use new technology.

    Advice to Management

Embrace new technology especially to help with information sharing. Allow managers and employees to participate in more decision making to help the company become great.

  2. Not a good fit for many

    Pros

Family-ish type atmosphere, but not very strong. Great for new potential people just out of college.

    Cons

Very hard, micromanagement and very difficult to navigate. Lots of overstepping and lots of battle/power play's. Its hard to have an entire family working there. An Executive lies so often that nobody believes anything he says.
An Executive really thinks that everybody believes him and that we don't all know about the lies. An Executive also creates issues for the company because he sets a bad examples.

    Advice to Management

Too often does a complaint get "heard" only for nothing to happen for weeks or months on end. There may be other factors preventing action from being performed, but we aren't informed about it, so from my perspective it's no different from nothing being done at all.

    Pros

Salaries were compatible with other international organizations in Kabul.

    Cons

Authoritative environment where your big boss can fire you for no reason. No job security.

    Advice to Management

A merit based hiring and incentive system should be in place along with a system that gives employees a sense of job security. A no job security environment can harm employees performance.
