I worked at Technomic part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible with your schedule. Coworkers are easy going. They give you enough to do throughout each day. Weekly meetings to keep on top of work load.

    Cons

Poorly run management. No structure or organization. Unfair treatment given to interns that have been there longer even though they haven't done much or proved themselves to get that sort of stature.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take the time to manage and get to know your interns properly.

I worked at Technomic as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

If you enjoy being bored to tears about food, this job is for you. Enjoy learning everything you never wanted to know about what different types of restaurants are categorized as.

    Cons

When I was there, the managers were rude and grouped into one office to discuss celebrity gossip and other absolute crap that somehow made their lives more fulfilled. In the mean time, I was shoved into a cubicle to write as many abstracts about restaurants as I could in one day. How enlightening. Terrible experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees with slightly more kindness and empathy. Maybe try to see your interns as more than the scum on the bottom of your shoe. Though I suppose that'd be difficult to do, considering your management saw you the same way. Again, terrible culture and work environment here.
