    Internship

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsThey worked well around my school schedule allowing me to focus on my studies. The occasional free lunches were also a plus.

ConsThere was not much room for growth, other interns working next to me were there for nearly 2.5 years and were still doing the same data collection.

I've learned how an office is run, but the work I've been given won't help me in the long run.

    Data Collection Intern (Current Employee)
    Chicago, IL

ProsMeet new people, have it on your resume, experience as an intern, learn about the food industry, work close to the manager and other interns.

Conssuper casual management (can be a pro as well), pay isn't as well as other internships, has only one kind of job, unethical

Advice to Senior Managementgive more professional work to interns, managers should not gossip to interns or in general about other coworkers, managers should act like role models.

Exciting organization and respectful, fun people to work with

    Market Research (Current Employee)

ProsSmall firm respects its employees. The work you do impacts the bottom line... you know you are contributing. Coworkers are professional and fun. Good communication across divisions and lots of collaboration.

ConsAs far as I can tell, there is not much potential for advancement. This can be seen as a good thing for entry level and intern level workers, but definitely a constraint for people who want to stick with the firm for the long term.
