    delayed salaries by 3 months
no perks (not even health insurance)

I have been working at Technopak Advisors as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

freedom of expression, get chance to formulate new formats, easy going clients, easy challenging projects

    Cons

cannot expect support from line managers, thrown to a remote locations on project, will be a one man show, over and above salaries would be delayed for 3 months sometimes. No proper response from HR. HR is just to take you into or out from the company. HR wont help you in financial matters, One should fight every day to get the long standing pending salaries. Kick out when your project cash flow stops

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat employees as assets not liabilities. They are the bread earners for the company and left the previous company only to serve you for long time. Projects with less margins should not be taken up and latter fell financial troubles, kicking out employees.
Salaries to be paid on time.
HR should take initiative of building the team as one.

    I worked at Technopak Advisors

    Pros

    Slightly flexible timing
1% of the employees get to do real consulting work - so you are lucky if you can be that 1% through favoritism.
    Cons

    Cons

Salary is delayed by 2-3 months and there is no certainty when it will be credited to your account
(That is there is no fixed date for salary to come)
Bonus component of the salary is a pseudo compensation - no bonus has been given to any employee in the past 2-3 years
Gift allowance of Rs. 400 per month (=Rs. 4800 per year) has not been given to the employees for the past 2-3 years
There is no fixed appraisal process - it can start anytime of the year
There is no 360 degree feedback system - it is especially important in a consulting firm - as there is a different type of reporting system.
Excessive attrition - every month you get to know someone or the other leaving - where total strength of consultants is less than 50.
At senior level no body wants to stick because their salaries are delayed by 3-4 months.

    Work:
During projects when there is excess work, there is no time management - you might have to work in the office till 3 am or even overnight - Most bosses here feel it's something to flaunt about
Extreme favoritism exhibited by project leads as they have been with the organization for 7-8+ years and even the owners cannot question them on this - their excuse is that they wont be able to complete the project on time if their favorites are not working on their project
Very traditional approach to work - company doesn't have any access to secondary resources - so you have to build market numbers from news articles.
Senior consultants are also made to cold call heads of brands etc. for insights- there is no such thing as leveraging industry contacts.
Scope of some of the projects is very bad - you will feel you are too overqualified for such things - for example conducting consumer interviews and filling survey forms outside a mall and getting rejected by shoppers.
Many times company will force you to do consumer interviews.
Most projects are just about data collection through primary interviews and fill it in an excel, make a table on the slide and finished.
Very few projects which actually include a business plan or retail plan - those are again given to favorites.

    Others:

No parking in the office - be willing to spend 100 rs. everyday at Cyber City parking
The office won't even get you a birthday cake on your special day - you will feel like you're a nobody
There is no training provided ever - you're on your own most of the time.
Most of the employees are mute - no body can raise a question to the senior management - like a lala company.

Very few good people in the company at the senior level but they also have to bend to the senior most people and hence tend to act illogically when you'd expect better from them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Perhaps it would be best to sell off the company so that a bigger group can plug all the existing gaps and holes.
And maybe you need to do a consulting for yourself - how to improve your cash flows.

I have been working at Technopak Advisors

    Pros

Nil. All Pros are written by HR and PR team. It is a par of their Job Responsibility

    Cons

    Management treat employees like slaves
    Salaries delayed by 3/4 months
Part of salary not paid and it goes as FNF settlement, which has not been settled for last 3 years
Don't be surprised for getting calls from vendors (hotel, taxi) for bill settlement at midnight.
Consultants are made to pay from their pockets for all official travels and the bills are not settled.
Attrition is above 80%, every day is a challenge for survival

Close down if you cannot run it

I have been working at Technopak Advisors full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

None whatsoever ( The greedy promoters are screwing up the company typical lala style)

    Cons

Where do I begin...? First, their salaries are very low and are paid 2-3 months late everytime since the last few years. It is extremely humiliating and frustrating to work like this after passing out from top universities. Second, project pipelines have completely dried up since 2010 , after they separated from KSA. Third, the attrition has to be seen to be believed. Don't kill your career by joining Technopak!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't treat your employees so shabbily. Won't take you very far.

I have been working at Technopak Advisors full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Your growth in this organization is defined by the effort you put in. There are enormous opportunities that are provided to employees at all levels. One has to get its hand dirty and work really hard. Rewards and recognition follow

    Cons

Company has been going through a cash flow problem for a couple of years and therefore timely salary has been a problem. Besides I have not come across anyone who would have got their bonus.
