I have been working at TeleTech full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good working conditions, On Site management really seems to care about the people, of course the bottom line is to make money.. its a business after-all.. but I really love my job and the people I work with.

I also like that they promote wellness!

    Cons

Pay. there should be incremental increases at least once a year if you are performing as or better than expected.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think they are doing fine.

I have been working at TeleTech full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    The training is paid.
The bathrooms are separated for boys, and girls.
    Lots of parking spaces.

    Cons

To get promoted the only skill you need is to be a good BS-er. Your education, work history, including military service, means nothing to the ones interviewing you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get rid of bill stoddard.

    Pros

Better than no job at all.

    Cons

Hiring process is "burn and turn" Turnover is ludicrous
Management style is "carrot and stick" All stick, no carrot.
Expectations and responsibilities change continuously with no additional recompense.
No written employee manual. No printed pay statements
    No written policy and procedures.

I have been working at TeleTech full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Takes very little skill to do the job

    Cons

Workplace Harassment by "Team Leaders" Incompetent Management at every level of the Call Center, Management actively hides problems from the client, Promotions based on if you "show up" for shift not ability to do job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management should visit the Greeley call center and choose people to talk to about the problems in the call center not take people "hand picked" by management to lie for them.

I worked at TeleTech full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Flexible schedule (to an extent)
Guaranteed 40 hrs a week (if you can stand being there)
Nice, renovated interior created a refreshing environment

    Cons

Trainers gave false impression of what it's like working there and being on the phones.
Common mishaps with scheduling and receiving bonus or referral pay.
    Very little incentive.
Co workers act like high school children.
Too many people in one area; sickness spreads quickly during the winter.
Most of the Team Leads are very unprofessional.
Pay was awful for what an agent has to deal with for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
Computer system issues on a weekly basis.
    Not enough training.
Break times and bathroom times were heavily monitored by a department of rude people. Because of the large amount of people that abused break/bathroom time, honest employees had to suffer from humiliation on a daily basis.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give agents more incentive to work hard and show up to work every day.
Eliminate OSC department. They are degrading and pompous. No one likes to hear their name called out over 50 walkie talkies for going over 2 minutes on their break. Instead, try implementing a clock in/out station at agents' desks so that they don't go over on breaks.
Consider revamping the training program so that agents are effectively educated on the client's policies and procedures. Many agents were taught conflicting information which hurts the customer satisfaction rates.
Consider increasing the pay because $9.25/hr is horrible.

I have been working at TeleTech full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Very straight forward in what the company and what your supervisors want you to be/ work like. Set schedule for 6 months (or so) straight. Paid training (3 weeks in classroom, 2 weeks taking calls but being supervised). Fairly predictable job, you know what to expect every day you walk in. Benefits offered (if you think they're worth the money). Pay for performance (if you work extremely hard you will be rewarded). Stable job with a stable income.

    Cons

No raises, rarely any promotions. The way you are treated is based on your statistics of working there - say you're extremely sick and can't come in, it's treated the same as a no call no show/ just not coming in, which puts you at a lower rating of the company. Schedules are based on your statistics, not what works for you. The "bonuses" they offer aren't very realistic to achieve. The company is very big - so other than my team lead, I'm not sure who I work for.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take the time to really connect with your employees - don't just treat us like a statistic/ number.

I have been working at TeleTech full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great support system. They really care that you are getting what you need to perform your very best. Also, they do not force you to take angry calls. They do not care about call length, but rather that you are taking care of the client's customers. And, at my site, they do not make outbound calls.

    Cons

It's a call center. You will deal with people who are having bad days. But, you will also get plenty of calls that are good. And, for the most part, the people who call in appreciate good service.

I have been working at TeleTech

    Pros

    * Company has long-term history
    * I feel valued in my team and in the center
    * I am given the respect I deserve
    * Treated like a person, not a number

    Cons

    * Would like a bit more empowerment in my duties
    * Outdated computer systems moved from another location
    * Site needs a real cafeteria (not just vending machines)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    * Take time to see what it's like to be an agent
    * Visit your locations when possible
    * Accept employee feedback
