    Neutral

Senior Software Engineer (Current Employee) Mountain View, CA

ProsOne of the chances to get job in USA for those from other countries due to international affiliates other the world. Company is mostly doing corp-to-corp business in SW development / maintenance. Standard benefits, not bad medical and 401K packages.

ConsSalary rate is a little lower than average of the market. The level of bureaucracy is sometime annoying. HR work is not satisfied. Lately the global management was changed, many re-organizations happened and it looks like the things are also getting worse.

Advice to Senior ManagementThink of the employees as of people.

    Employees are commodities

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Plano, TX

ProsDiverse culture with many foreign employees and collaboration across many countries. Local management cares but hands are tied by management in Sweden.

ConsEmployees are treated as commodities, not people. Quick to layoff people if a project ends and they are on the bench.

There are better options out there...you really need to think long and hard before taking a job here.

Software Architect (Current Employee) Plano, TX

ProsSome people are fantastic to work with, others really need to learn some human interaction skills and let go of their ego's.

ConsPay is well below market. Management (generally speaking) is completely and utterly clueless. Their mentality is a "resources" and "bench" mentality. Even those on a salary are treated as an hourly resource and you are only as good as the current project you are assigned to. If you have no project, they will panic and it won't be long before you are let go (yes, even those on a full-time salaried position). Their approach to landing deals is bizarre. They will turn down a deal (regardless if strategically it would be a big win for the company portfolio) simply because it isn't enough money (even if the revenue is what the market rate is for that type of project). Teleca has an overinflated sense of self-worth that is not deserved and quite frankly, the work coming out of the India and Russian offices is sub-par at best and typically has to be redone before presenting to a client (which is where the profit margins are lost). The delivery organization is beyond broken due to poor leadership. They simply don't have a good grasp on how to run a business in the US.

Advice to Senior ManagementYour business model is broken and unsustainable in todays economy. You can only burn your customers and employees so many times before you have nothing left to burn. Stop being so short-sighted and conservative about everything and learn to take some managed risks in order to grow the business. Your biggest and realistically, your only assets, are your employees. They are what you sell because without them, you have nothing to offer a client. Talent is your asset and you are quite frankly burning your bridges in every town you do business. Your reputation is not good at all and you simply cannot continue to operate in this fashion without irreparable damage to your company and brand.

Project Manager (Former Employee) Helsinki, Southern Finland (Finland)

ProsSomewhat changing projects. Clients stayed mostly the same.

ConsYou can't pick your projects, and at dry times there is nothing to do

Advice to Senior ManagementProductize your services.

Technical Lead (Current Employee) Bangalore (India)

ProsGood Package (Initially whatever u get)

    Cons1)Very poor Management
    2)Lot of politics.
    3) Ypu are lucky if you come from the same place as that of the manager
    4) there is no way of escalation if you have problem with your team lead..
5)Management will never care about you, they will blindly take team leads comments.

Good idea for first job, not many options to self develop later

Software Engineer (Current Employee) Łódź, Lódz (Poland)

ProsFlexible working hours, used to be lots of projects to choose from.

ConsSalary - what you'll get at the begining it's all you have (small bonuses and raises only)

Advice to Senior ManagementI think it would be good idea to do something to keep the most valuable people inside, to pay decent salary.
