    Pros

Nice buildings and equipment. Most regular people are nice.

    Cons

Ever since the new CEO tool over in about 2006, its been down hill ever since. Political struggles within the company, cronyism, I never seen so much great talent leave so quickly. Manegment refuses to listen.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Resign immediately!

I have been working at Teledyne Technologies full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Teledyne has good benefits, nice coworkers, and it's close to home. Some real nice front line managers.

    Cons

Company is contracting don't see much of a future. They layoff the worker bees and keep all the high paying managers or move them around to other positions. The reward failure (P162 project) to inept managers. Employees who have been contributing for years with tribal knowledge are the first out the door. Teledyne Scientific has been a frontrunner in technology is now contracting if not stagnating

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management has been uninspiring and not moving the company forward. Technology is not about counting dollars and cents but an investment for the future.

    Current Employee - Engineer I

I have been working at Teledyne Technologies full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good pay, good benefits, good location. Flexible hours for non-production employees.

    Cons

Weak management. All departments are not cross functional - everybody's goal should be to ship product out the door but that is not the case. You really have to fight for your own projects to get worked on. Upper management does not resolve people's concerns, including respect in the work place. Many people quit because they don't like working with others.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to people's concerns and actually care about how people feel and do something about it. If your employees are not happy, do not be surprised if they quit for another job... which has already happened a few times in the short time I've been here.
