    Pros

Changing environment provides many learning opportunities.

    Cons

Employees are expected to work long hours. Senior management is focused on personal bonus and is not trusted by lower-level employees. Little value put on employee development.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respect employee's work/home life balance. Invest in developing employees. Foster diversity.

I have been working at Teleflex full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

I appreciate the fact that Teleflex promotes education and provides opportunities for company sponsored classes or will support their employees in their scholastic endeavors.

    Cons

The thing I find must challenging at Teleflex is the constant change. There are also times when employees feel they are not as important as investors. And, many are continually worried about losing their jobs, as there has been an ongoing effort to relocate many functions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Show more appreciation to employees, not just the leadership teams, but those in the office and in the field working tirelessly every day. Stop eliminating positions.

I worked at Teleflex full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

They make compliant medical products with on time deliveries in the high range.
Low MRR rating (rejected and sent back) *Note: Highest rate occurs during Mandatory overtime
401k is average for the company of it's size

    Cons

    Mandatory Overtime
    Non-competitive wage scales
    No room for growth
Strict attendance policy interfering in work/ life balance
    Management unethical to employees
    Temp starter
    High turnover rate
Disciplinary actions for people with disabilities (not being able to run a machine)
Low pay raises in merit based system
Anti-Union (multiple employees have tried and were shortly fired)
No action taken when suggestions are given

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If people want a union, let them have one. If people have disabilities, conform to federal laws and statues. Give opportunity for those that want it. Don't just shove them on a machine and tell them to comply. Reward people who try hard and offer incentives to people who need guidance.

I worked at Teleflex full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

You will get training and to go to a conference once a year and there is a chance for over seas travel, maybe. In Raleigh and Wayne, there are new office buildings. They hire younger employees. It is a company that produces lifesaving products.

    Cons

The working environment is very much a cube farm with low walls and no privacy. The atmosphere is very cliquish and if you are a member of the clique you might enjoy it. There is a ridiculous amount of documentation and produced just to be able to say they have it and is never referenced again. Management makes up their minds and are not pleased to be bothered with counterpoints and details. Please don't be fooled about such phrases as "Work-Life Balance" and "We are committed to family". This only refers to the Teleflex family and not yours. Work life balance is a joke. Last, the pay for position is well below market value.

    Pros

Clean, climate controlled, overtime, music over loudspeaker, simple job

    Cons

Unrealistic production expectations, difficult schedule, no employee appreciation, terrible morale, extremely harsh criticism daily, unfairness, supervisor picks favorites and give special treatment.

    Pros

You learn new things everyday, the starting payrate is pretty good for no experience, the co workers are friendly & the company overall is generous.

    Cons

There is alot of favoritism which means if you work hard & the management have a favorite you will most likely not get promoted. The benefits given sucks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

promote accorrding to work ethics & attendance, not just soley because you like the person.
