    Pros

Teleplan is terrific for young professionals looking to understand the mechanics of how a business works. Mid level managers are encouraged to teach supervisors and line leaders the concepts required for effective management. Supervisors are encouraged to teach line and warehouse employees the concepts required for supervisory positions. There is a strong culture of promotion from within.

    Cons

In any position, a career at Teleplan can be stressful. Pressure to meet goals is high and support comes at a site level. This is okay if you are a self motivated individual, but can be discouraging if you are someone who craves structure and clear definition. There is sometimes a perception that each location is an island. It is not uncommon to hear employees question whether or not managers at a regional or corporate level are really engaged.

    Advice to Management

Live up to the companies core values. Focus on perfecting each business and on ensuring the loyalty of both customers and employees. Strive to find the balance the competing priorities.

    Pros

Good people, great place if you like hands on experience. Great if you like working at a fast pace. Fun activities occasionally.

    Cons

Long hours, quotas & deadlines, unexpected mandatory weekend work. Becomes second home.

    Advice to Management

Deadlines need to go. People need to leave work at scheduled time off, not at when production number is reachreached.

    Pros

This place had a lot to offer as teaching you how to effectively rebuild laptops and learn computer systems. I was able to figure out and diagnose laptops quickly and now I can tell what a problem is with a computer with a couple minutes of looking at it. If you are looking for a decent job and do not mind working some overtime or Saturdays occasionally then it isn't too bad. However, if you do not meet your production quota you have to stay until you hit the hour cap or meet the goal.

    Cons

The pay is low. They will pay a technician the standard rate of $11-13/hr. Also if you are a temp they are paying the staffing company about an extra $5 an hour on top of that. Which means that instead of paying the temp company they could just hire people on and they would be able to find more talent and better candidates for the job. The business would still be profitable as well. The room for advancement is difficult seeing how most of the people in upper management are younger. Also the raises are low, company does not give a cost of living increase normally.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees that have knowledge and potential to be a leader well. They are the key to the success of a business. Do not think that every employee is replacing with another temp. Everyone is different and you have to look at people for their skills not just their production number.

    Pros

If you can learn fast you can at least get some knowledge from the other techs.

    Cons

No Raises. No Bonuses. Long Hours for minimum possible pay. Starting pay is very low competitively for the work they demand. Quality of workplace is very low. Management only in place to cut costs and save company money, not to help employees in any way.

    Advice to Management

Close the company, its not worth keeping open.

    Pros

Great place to lean how to fix laptops that you probably wouldn't but otherwise.

    Cons

Mandatory Overtime, Management does not care about their employees, Management will curse at you and tell you that your job is in stake, when I started at teleplan my production goal was 9 units a day, 6 months later the production goal per day was 15. In the past 2 months about 12 Techs have left, and in about 1 year over 100 Techs have quit or got fired. I see Teleplan loosing their contract within the next 3-5 years. Their is no room for growth, it is a dead end warehouse sweatshop job. Teleplan is one of the worse companies I have ever worked for and will never go back.

    Advice to Management

Set realistic Goals, Management needs to be fired, start treating your employees with respect!

    Pros

Good Med.Dental.Vision Benefits, 2 good Annual Events, Standard Time Off Accruals.

    Cons

Abundant Nepotism in the workplace. Unethical work practices. Promotion by who you know. All types of Discrimination run rapid within the Site. Favoritism within Reward/Recognition/Education/Reviews. Climate conditions unfavorable. Low pay, unless you have a connection of course.

    Advice to Management

Office Culture, especially with Tenured employees, threaten the stability and growth of the company. The CEO and/or the VP of Human Resource are both not in the U.S. - Truths are swept under the rug, so the Roseville tenured employees are not required to explain themselves.
