I have been working at Teleservices Direct

    Pros

Great way to get your feet wet & gain invaluable experience in the sales field.

    Cons

Knowing that you are working with morally corrupt individuals that would sell their mothers house out from underneath her.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the cram & slam sales people. If they have a history of kills day in & day out, make examples of them. They only make it harder for those of us that are honest in our sales.

Flexible hours, OK pay if you're really good, but they hire very low quality employees, so the culture sucks.

I worked at Teleservices Direct part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Extremely flexible hours -- they don't care when you can work, just how many hours per week. If you're having trouble finding a job, they'll hire basically anyone. I literally walked in, turned in an application, and about 10 minutes later they handed me a schedule.

    Cons

Minimum wage pay, plus commission, but they love cheating employees out of their commission. There is an extremely high turnover rate, not just among general employees, but among management as well. So it might be going great for a month or two under one set of management, then they quit or get fired, and you end up with terrible management again. Half of the equipment there doesn't even work, so if you get in later than everyone else, good luck finding a station to work at that day.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you pay your managers and employees better, you'll get better quality management and employees who will stay with your company for longer.

    Unprofessional Company

I worked at Teleservices Direct full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great starter job to learn skills.

    Competitive work.

Will work with you if you have problems in your personal life.

    Career oppurtinities in moving up.

    Cons

0% knowledge on the product when you begin. Should be included in training.

Horrible communication with agents, especially when changes are made.

Supervisors are overworked to the point they are rude to their agents and consistantly try to sneak off.

This company hires anybody. There are no background screens done or drug tests for anybody hired on. There has been a problem with people using drugs at work.

Minors are allowed to smoke cigarettes and have witnessed supervisors sharing tobacco products with the minors.

The enviroment is filthy. There is trash stuffed inside the cubicle walls and under the desks. Dust is piled up so high inside the cubicles it looks like its been there for years.

Lack of equiptment. Usually it is hard to find some that works.

Dangerous. Open chair arms that can cut you. Have had to get a shot and antibiotics working here, and cords with open wires that will shock you.

Enviroment is close to being middle/high school-like. Employees are unprofessional and nothing is done to fix the problem when employees make harmful threats, make sexual harrassment comments, and act on unprofessionalism. Employees work while under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Management needs to control their employees.

    Favoritism is often played.

100% repetitive. Every call is predictable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Training classes should introduce product knowledge and intensive rebuttling practices and allow longer periods of time for trainees to listen to calls with an agent.

Tolerance on agents and supervisors behavior needs to be stricter and monitored.

    Drug testing before starting.

    Background screening should be done.

    Cleaner enviorment especially in cubicles.

Zero tolerance on employees working under the influence.

Children should not be allowed on the floor. It affects calls.

0 tolerance for minors using tobacco products on company grounds.

    More floor support.

Establish a more professional and safer enviroment for employees to work in. Employees should be consistantly monitored on the floor like how they are on calls. There is too much leniance in this company and is a common reason why employees leave.

I have been working at Teleservices Direct full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Teaches you customer service even though the upper management will tell you that they are not Customer service. I worked on the AT&T campaign and we got a lot of inbound calls (which is easy to make a sell on those calls because they call you for services) but also had to make outbound calls, which can be challenging but fun at the same time because you make double commission.

    Cons

Rude and cheap customers that only call to get their bill lowered. You have to sell mobility at least once a week and that can be challenging because most customers already have cell phone service with AT&T or can't get AT&T service in their area or are already with another provider for cell phones. Management is also very unorganized and can be too aggressive in a professional work environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please be more organized and appreciative of the employees that work there. They work hard and the work can be draining sometimes.

I have been working at Teleservices Direct part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Pros? Aside from my co-workers, there was nothing I liked about this job.

    Cons

    Low-pay, almost laughably low.
Ridiculous workload, anyone above the agent level is expected to do the work of three people.
Disorganized, hourly employees routinely have their paychecks issued missing hours and commission.
    The training is nearly nonexistent.
The equipment is outdated and occasionally dangerous (electrical shorts, exposed metal on the chair arms, trip hazards.
and they only have regard for the bottom line, witnessed an upper level person chew out a floor supervisor, because the floor supervisor told a person with strep throat to go home.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You get what you pay for. If you want professional people to stick around conduct an actual interview, don't use "has a pulse as the deciding factor to get on with the company and pay people what they are worth.

    Pros

Employees are great and its like a family.

    Cons

Management will take advantage of hard workers and will ask you to work off the clock. Systems are out dated and once you become a supervisor there is no more advancement from there. Management is also sneaky and will fire someone with out any prior warning such as a write up. This company should be sued for some of the things they have gotten away with.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees better and remember that they are the reason the doors are open!

    Pros

you can keep to yourself besides talking to customers on phone. supervisors are pretty quick to answer you questions.

    Cons

took at least three weeks to get client on do not call list when they requested it. some calls take longer than others and they want to speak to a supervisor could be a little while before they get to your call.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
