    Pros

    + Its culture
    + decent benefits
    + causal Mom & Pop feel.
    + Dress code is jeans and a t-shirt Mon- Fri.
    + Paid lunch hour
    + Work schedule 9-5PM

    Cons

    + Management fears new technologies
    + lacks shared vision (What is the vision?)
    + lacks a mission statement
    + lacks friendly customer support
    + lacks employee retention techniques
    + lacks employee praise
    + lacks continuing education to enrich employee and firm alike.
    + last minutes travel scheduling without consulting with traveler.
    + Does not acknowledge several holidays, such as MLK day
    + No co. functions, parties, softball, or picnics to boost moral
    + location is horrible (Rough neighborhood)
    + No OT allowed

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    + Develop a think tank for new technologies and provide them a budget.
    + Remember co. that are not internet co. within the next 10 yrs will no longer be co.s at all.
    + Provide workshops to keep the workforce educated and up to par with industry norms
    + An intranet
    + Provide a paperless system for orders, time sheets, etc

    I worked at Teleview Racing Patrol, Inc. full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Money from the griffin group allowed great expansion and aggressive pricing. Management at one time worked with their employees to acheive success. Compensation was very good and history of ownership was important

    Cons

    Total breakdown of management. No employee relationship or trust from the Pres. or Asst. to president. Inexperience and lack of leadership at the top. Best of management and employees were fired due to family management disaster in the making.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Eliminate entire 2012 management and get back to basics. Let employees do their job and new ownership needs to stick with what they know and do best. The leadership and group of the last four years was the down fall of a once great company. The current company ownership has decimated the moral and ranks of any good employees left and the Florida location will surely be closed in the near future.

    Not what you do but who you know.

    Pros

    Good compensation, S. Florida climate. A great group of employees, who are dedicated and extremely professional take personal pride in the caliber of the job accomplished.

    Cons

    Nepotism in mangement clouds business judgement and leads to inconsistency. A division of departments negative to overall company effectiveness. Aquisition in 2011 may have a long term negative impact on corporate reputation and growth.
