    - Job was interesting

    Cons- Too much changes in the management, so processes were being changed as well, sometimes returning to where we started from

    ConsGeneral perception of being an overpriced brand. If seek pathways to move from Retail to back of house, opportunities appear to be limited, response to internal career application close to 0. Applying back office roles via external website believed to have a better chance.

    Many employees have been there for 10 years + and have been promoted above thier level of competence and/or know nothing else but the Telstra way – Cliques everywhere
    Lack of cohesion in Organisational Development structure, strategy and priorities (to little too late and not best practice)

    Advice to Senior ManagementIf you are going to invest in a robust OD strategy invest in recruiting people who understand what this is. Don't rename your learning and development function 'Organisational Development' and then just continue to do what you have always done.

    ProsThere are great opportunities to move up and around the organisation.
    There is a good work culture, with the workplace being inclusive and friendly.
    There is lots of flexibility, in terms of work location and work hours.
    The work is generally quite interesting and meaningful.

    ConsThere is a holdover from the old days that manifests itself in the organisation having a bureaucratic nature. There are lots of approvals and process that can slow down the pace of work and hinder positive outcomes.
    The organisation is sometimes slow-moving, because of its size and culture.
    There is still a legacy of a public service mentality among some employees and in some processes.

    Advice to Senior ManagementTransform, move away from the public service mentality to a private sector mentality.
