    Company values have changed

    Program Manager (Former Employee)
    Dallas, TX

ProsGood co workers, people who care about the company and client oriented.

ConsLeadership has changed in the last couple years and since then several senior management people that were key contributors to the companies growth have left the company and those who stay are frustrated with leadership, employees at all levels except those close to C level are now seen as another number in the company.

Because of this the company is now shrinking...

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't forget that many hard working people contributed to the companies growth and have a lifetime invested in the company, others will come and go only seeing the company as a stepping stone in there professional carrier, no one cares more about the company than those that have been with the company since the beginning and have seen it through good times and bad, newcomers will jump ship in hard times while truly loyal people will remain only to see it rise again.

Focused only on metrics and inadequate pay and training

    Tech Support Agent (Current Employee)
    Dallas, TX

ProsI enjoyed that I got paid to look for another job while 'training'. The trainer was adequate if unmotivated though the training does not prepare you for the job much due to the horrible systems needed to perform the job.

ConsIt is call center born from the marriage of 1990's pay and horrible management practices. Time-off policies are byzantine at best and their 'computers' and 'systems' are a joke. The customers are always irate (as one might expect given the contracts they support) and the metrics cannot be maintained much less achieved by anyone who actually cares about the customers. The 'social media center' is an affront to decency and their 'Vista Vibes' rip off of Facebook is even worse. Telvista and their management are a blight upon humanity.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement would do well to consider acting like a real company instead of hiring supervisors that only care about how good they look in a mirror, in front of management and when their next break is so they can puff on a cigarette or e-cig. The supervisors could not care less about professional or personal development... only metrics. The company gets paid by the call, so only metrics will do.

VERIZON FiOS ACCOUNT Highiest paying . Ok starter company for teenagers. Not ok for Individuals with Higher Education!

Technical Support Agent for Verizon FIOS (Current Employee)
    Dallas, TX

ProsGrowth Opportunities if you make it out of the 6 week training successfully, and remain with the company for 9 months PLUS! Also you start accruing PTO first day of training.

ConsIT'S A CALL CENTER! This mean's Favoritism, Drama, and just playing the game... During Training you must pass ALL written Exams (For Verizon FiOS account $10.00 paid hourly) for Voice, Data, and Video... Immediately following the written exams are the Mock Skill Certifications (For Telvista purposes). ALL OF WHICH OR VERY SIMPLE... DEPENDING ON YOUR TRAINER!! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease pay closer attention to your dedicated employees... There's a reason (Outside of a typical Call Center Turnovers/pay of course) that you cannot keep GREAT DEDICATED EMPLOYEE'S WITH INTEGRITY!

The people are amazing but the micromanaging needs to be changed.

    Home Services Consultant (Former Employee)
    Danville, VA

ProsThe Coworkers are amazing and they really try to help.
The clients really reward you for selling their products.
    Site Director

    ConsMicromanagement by supervisors
    Commission plan
    Work-Life Balance

Advice to Senior ManagementLet the agents do their job, and understand the difference between agents who need help and those who can work through struggles themselves.

14 years of a bad habit, never abused the system but ouch abuse you!

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsPaid time off 5.87 hours every other week that is 19 paid days off a year
And 8 hours each year you work there up to 10 years or 80 hours

ConsIts a job with crap days off, and don't plan on having a life!
Supervisors toooo young never did any work but bluffed their way up, upper management always say its about the #'s lol

Advice to Senior ManagementWork life balance lol
Promote you then knock you down, take back stabbing, lying ass kissing brown nosers word over the truth!
Sexual harassment not tolerated unless you are a Supervisor.

Great Culture and place to work for people that want to grow!

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsThere is a cafe on site everyday for employees that want to eat on site, free coffee and free food almost every week. The break room is nice and has ping pong tables and couches for employees to relax at. Very nice building

ConsWork hours can be late depending on the contract but there is a shift differential that makes it worth taking the late hour.

Advice to Senior ManagementWould like to see more incentives, gift cards and giveaway contests to help boost production and morale.
