I have been working at Telvista full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Steady work, free coffee, well stocked vending machines. Has potential for learning some basic IT skills.

    Cons

No room for advancement, repetitive work, some negativeness in the atmosphere, basically treated as a number, limited pay rate (The ceiling is $12), supervisors who have very little interest in seeing you succeed. There is no contact with upper management. They occasionally post notices on the "vibes" board but there is 0 interaction. Very much a class separated company and there is VERY LITTLE movement between the classes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The vendors dictate the conduct on the floor, there is no room for change there, but off the floor, it would be nice if the culture was humanized some. Hawaiian shirt day once a month doesn't make me feel like my company cares if I am there. Shift change availability would be nice, an opportunity to move departments would be nice, treating people who work past 4pm the same way you treat the day shift would be nice. Boxed holiday lunches are terrible. The company is owned by the second richest man in the world. You honestly can't tell me you couldn't spring for a turkey or two once a year?

    Pros

    Liberal amount of PTO
    Excellent training.
    I loved my coworkers.
    Its not a physical job.

    Cons

    Long hours.
    Unreachable sales goals.
    Calls back to back.
They tell us to be pushy.
    Dishonest.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop expecting so much from the agents. Not every call can be transformed into a sale.

I worked at Telvista full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

close to home, has employee feeds once in a while

    Cons

New management- they took a perfectly good place of employment and kicked it to the curb by switching supervisors to a group of know-nothings. They've fired or caused to quit about 20 people in the last 3 months, they refuse to work with you on scheduling, or anything else for that matter.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Act like you care about your employees (not just cheap crap you can't use from Oriental Trading Co), be more lenient on scheduling. Supervisors, by their very title, are supposed to know more than their employees, so they can assist their employees with call problems, not just be able to send memos and write people up. You've lost a lot of good people over this.

    I worked at Telvista full-time

    Pros

Very hard to find a pro for this company,

    Cons

Leadership has changed again, new decision makers with no experience in the contact center industry, ultimately clients are feeling the pain from the company's lack of appropriate leadership and effective business strategy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None, as management cant change what is happening...

    Pros

    PTO
    Break Room
You get to sit all day
    Tuition pay back
The people in your training class

    Cons

-They make the job sound better than what it is
-In training classes you don't get enough time to learn all of the material
-They kinda throw you on the floor like figure it out
    -low pay
-Floor walkers are really rude and never help
    -trainers are terrible
-if you RECIEVE a certain time frame don't get excited for shift bids you will most likely get the same shift as everyone else or later
-they are inconsiderate as far as schedules
-you meet one person and may not ever see them again for 4 months
-People talk really loud when on the phone interrupting other employees
-if you put in for overtime they will FIRE you if you do not show up

    Pros

There are many ways to move with TelVista. The close knit atmosphere from agent level to Operations ensures a successful workplace. Incentive bonuses, PTO from day one, experienced leadership team , quality training and support staff make this one of the best places in Dallas to start and develop a career.

    Cons

If there was one con it would be our size prohibits our company from offering better medical benefits. They are not bad just not always what I have personally needed.
