I have been working at TemPositions as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

When the work is flowing it is great!

    Cons

Reps can be lax about being informed and ok informing staff of corporate client changes especially when it comes to long term assognments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Communicate more with temps.

I worked at TemPositions as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

Prompt pay (complete online timesheet by Sun & get paid by direct deposit Wed night); "TemPositions Discount Marketplace" program that I never tried; weekly job openings by email; nice reps.

    Cons

Very very few employment orders, so most temps sit idle nearly all the time; weekly job opening emails cover the entire Bay Area yet never contain more than 1–3 [highly specialized] positions; negligible employee benefits include absolute bare minimum medical plan.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try drumming up more business so your "Talent Pool" doesn't dry up....

    I worked at TemPositions

    Pros

Good to build experience in staffing

    Cons

Zero room for growth, it seems as if most staff are hired as Temps and sold a story that you will become perm but this isn't true. The compensation is not equivalent to the amount of work you are given which comes along with zero benefits.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is absolutely horrible, no communication with staff, be honest about the job tasks and responsibilities. do not over work and under pay your staff. Monitor your managers well as they do not do their jobs. You will continue to have a high turnover rate and lose employees to competitors if you do not learn to value your staff.

I have been working at TemPositions part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible - depending on the assignment
They help you find job if you're constantly reminding them because they forget about you if you don't
You get corporate perk after some time... discounts on some products, that's pretty cool

    Cons

Offer one pay during interview and something else when you accept it. The actual job is paying them 25.20 per hour and they're paying me 14 per hour.

Low pay low pay low pay!!!

I have been working at TemPositions full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Put me in a position in my pay grade

    Cons

Lied to me about the position going permanent. Used a weak, solicited excuse to "drop" me from their firm when I realized I had been duped by "temp to perm". Initially, I was told that the position was temp to perm and that I would know within 3 months. What I found out from the staff at the assignment was that they had a low opinion of the agency I came from and they never planned to hire anyone from there on a permanent basis.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Honesty is the best policy. They should stop misleading employees into thinking that they have a chance at going permanent when the position is actually only a temporary position. I left a position that was not paying as much but they were ready to actually hire me for the "dream" sold to me by a TemPositions recruiter. Now, I'm kicking myself for believing/trusting her.
