Outstanding opportunity to travel and learn from your customers

    Account Management (Former Employee)

ProsVery smart and (mostly) engaged colleagues. Opportunity to learn if you know who to ask - which you won't. Top name in international banking software.

ConsCronyism abounds. Everybody who has been there more than a couple of years is a friend of someone important. The old guard sticks together, and there is absolutely NO confidentiality - not even between employees and HR.

Interesting job with great co-workers, but management only look sat revenue numbers and cares little about employees

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Lake Mary, FL

ProsGreat co-workers that are helpful and willing to share their knowledge.

ConsDecissions are mainly revuene and turnover driven. Senior Management mainly looks to satisfy investors concerns and overlooks the employees.

Good company to work for unless

Business Consultant (Former Employee) Chennai (India)

Pros1. Good onsite opportunity ( From 2013, temenos is not engaged in local developments with the bank, so.. i seriously doubt if any onsite opportunity will be there
    2. Flexible work timing
    3. Good work life balance

Cons1. HR dept. is the weakest dept. They simply nod their heads to what the senior management will have to say.
    2. Poor project management , strict hierarchy is followed
    3. If you wanted to learn, you are on your own or else..u need to keep asking seniors.. Most seniors will not help

Great and awesome place to work

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsFlexible , humongous scope to learn, travel and if you have talent surely it will be recognised! My stint at temenos was awesome and I was able to learn and scale up! Obviously was fed up with cheap politics prevailing in Indian offshore

ConsStagnated Grade 7 & 8 employees who will never vacate their seats due to lack of competency, clinging on simply with devotee tag of few big shots ! Unless and until these ppl are given VRS no scope for grade 5 & 6 to scale up the ladder. Worst HR and poor policies / systems.

Advice to Senior ManagementHapless HR system should be replaced , grade 7 & 8 bench warmers must be forced to take up some other roles

Fair knowledge practices with fair office politics too...

Business Consultant (Former Employee) Chennai (India)

ProsUnlimited knowledge of the product and the SDLC of the product.
More onsite opportunities than any other Banking IT company
It is one of the world's best banking product, which has good reach in any corner of the world
Higher chances of getting placed in a better company, with better salary, after this.

    ConsFair amount of office politics
Notice period of 3 months, which is nearly impossible to negotiate
Salary not upto the mark, when compared to the success of their product
    Promotions not based on service

    Good experience

Senior Pre-Sales (Former Employee) London, England (UK)

ProsThe company provided a flexible working environment, and there are many excellent staff around. The software has proven to be very successful, and there are opportunities to keep working on the product after leaving the company due to the large number of clients the company has gained, and continues to add to.

ConsThe politics, the cliques, the fact that (most) staff are just numbers...

    Can be better

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsOpportunity to travel, salary not too bad, elearning about the products and robust apps.

ConsSalary reviews are almost impossible, so burocratic in everything, too many bosses for such few tasks, they focus all projects the same way regardless the country, every country has its different ways to do their banking practices.

Advice to Senior ManagementEvery country has its different ways to do their banking practices, do not handle the same way all projects.

    Horrible Place to Work

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) London, England (UK)

ProsNone really, there's not a lot of structure so if you can blag your way to the top you just might get lucky.

ConsTerrible morale due to frequent staff culls, compensation below market. Senior management focussed narrowly on financial targets (and their own comp) at the expense of all else. Dodgy cash flow situation means suppliers often complaining about not being paid, slow expense reimbursement. Bad hours.

Advice to Senior ManagementThey're beyond help, the senior management are entrenched and have surrounded themselves with a board that rubber-stamps their decisions.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
