I have been working at Tempur Sealy International full-time

    Pros

It is nice to sell a good product. Some employees who left and stayed in the industry, often want to come back.

    Cons

Going through merger, so you have to be flexible with the growing pains and constant change. I have a good manager, but I've heard from others that some can be extreme micro managers.

    Pros

Good co-workers and decent fringe benefits.

    Cons

Depends on who your manager is. If you've got a bad one (which all but 1-2 are) then you're screwed.

    Advice to Management

Don't hire people you don't trust. Let people do their jobs and quit trackin them and micro managing them. If you don't trust them fire them or don't hire them initially.

I have been working at Tempur Sealy International full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very passionate workforce, excellent brands, clear business strategy and vision for the future of the company. Competitive compensation and very generous benefits package. Unlimited growth opportunities as the company continues to grow. Great work environment in a wonderful building with onsite cafe, starbucks, and fitness center. Very friendly employees who are easy to work with.

    Cons

Work-life balance overall is pretty good, but the company could grow in their acceptance of flexible work schedules (9/80's, 4 10's, etc.), working remotely, etc.

    Advice to Management

Continue to make the tough decisions and weed out those who are not on board with the future vision of the company.

    Pros

Supervisor invests in growth Motivation and encouraging to new ideas Powered opportunity to make decisions Great atmosphere holistically, but departments have their own issues

    Cons

Pay is sub par Still operates with a high to low management decision structure Can get pigeon holed into positions easily; hard to move up

    Advice to Management

Listen to those who do the work everyday, identify your true SMEs and make sure decisions for future changes include those who will do the everyday work.

    Pros

Great working environment - hard working dedicated people. Building is a great plus - beautiful - on site cafe, Starbucks and gym. Looks out for the employee.

    Cons

Compensation is not up to industry standards. Company needs to focus on better training. Senior executives not always aware of what goes on in the day to day work day.

    Advice to Management

May want to consider a better training program.
