    Alright

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Houston, TX

ProsIt was a paycheck and the hours were consistent. 8am-4:30pm

ConsUnknown future, no one wants to share responsibilities perhaps in fear of being laid-off. You're not paid for holidays unless you're management.

Advice to Senior ManagementTell employees what is happening around the hospital instead of letting it spread by "rumors" (always true)

It's all about the money, not the people

Practice Administrator (Current Employee) Sanford, NC

ProsThey have a generous benefits package

ConsUpper management does not include practice level management in decision making or respect their expertise. They do not listen to what employees have to say, and if you do voice your opinion expect your job title to be changed and your position eliminated. In the Sanford,NC market owning Physician practices is new and the people in place trying to run the practices do not have a clue what they have gotten themselves into or how to run a practice.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to the people in the practices - they have some good advice and experience. Let the managers actually manage and not be puppets to the upper management.

    Facility Level Is Great

    Accounting (Current Employee)

ProsManagement at local facility is wonderful. Great community atmosphere and patient care.

ConsCorporate micro-manages to an extreme level. Us vs them mentality, and disjointed operating procedures occur frequently, resulting in a lot of wasted time. Many in corporate appear to have little to no facility-level experience.

Advice to Senior ManagementMore transparency and better communication from corporate to facilities - this is often lacking greatly.

They are a prime example of what is wrong with US healthcare

Contract Physician (Current Employee) New Orleans, LA

ProsNone that I can think of except that the checks did not bounce.

ConsUnderhanded and no loyalty to physicians, other employees, or in the communities where their hospitals are located.

Do NOT care all about the atient, which is all that should matter in healthcare.

Advice to Senior Managementconfess and repent- maybe more whistle blower lawsuits?

    It could be better

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

Prosthe strength of a large company when purchasing new equipment.

    ConsGetting funding for new equipment.
Restricted on what products you can purchase.
Extremely Long delays by corporate IT on getting resolutions to issues on enhancements to existing configuration.
Unskilled IT support at local sites create more problems and less resolutions.

Advice to Senior ManagementBring your IT support in-house and hire more experience IT personal.

Tenet Healthcare is an excellent company to work for.

Director of Pharmacy (Former Employee) Palm Beach Gardens, FL

ProsFiscally sound practice model with organized corporate services.

ConsFacility level management is sometimes short sighted in the goals and sustainability. The bigger picture is sometimes over looked for short term gains.

Advice to Senior ManagementConfidential satisfaction surveys should be done periodically from the corporate level of middle management.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
